Intel CC150 on Asus Z390-E reboot failure after Bios settings

Hello,
i installed an Intel CC150 on an Asus Z390-E.
Newest Bios 2101 from 2024. CPU is recognized correctly.
First boot comes error Message: “Please enter setup to recover BIOS setting. After setting up Intel Optane Memory or the RAID configuration was built, SATA Mode Selection must be changed to RAID mode to avoid unknown issues”. This issue is often known with a low energy Bios battery CR2032, but my batterie is tested an ok.
As shown here you can see it is running under Multiple Z390-Series including Asus Z390-E but i don´t know if Bios are modded or not.
Every changes i made result in that its not bootable and the qled for CPU lights red.
But: When i only do Ctrl + Alt + Del oder directly take boot override system boots up Windows and runs stable.
BTW: Same system starts and reboots with an I5-9500 correctly, stable system is running an i can change everything in Bios.
Any ideas…?

Perhaps the microcode is too outdated? The CPUID of this CPU is 906ED, try replacing the corresponding microcode in the BIOS with the latest version.

Microcode Version is 0xfa.
0x100 should be the latest Version.
How to replace it in Bios…? Is it too outdated so this could be the problem…?

I have build a rom with latest Microcode on my own.
Can someone have a look to it if is correct…?`
And, remember; i cannot boot without boot override etc instead of installing another CPU.
Will it work with Afudos and /gan to install the Bios…? Or any other Tips…?

@Olker
Please compare the CPU Microcodes of your currently used BIOS with the ones you will get after the update of them.

This is what I get regarding the CPU Microcodes after having run the currently latest UBU version with the latest original mainboard BIOS 2101 for your mainboard:

And this is what I got after having chosen the UBU option “F”:

Since your ASUS mainboard supports the “USB Flashback Feature”, you should use it for the BIOS flashing procedure. Don’t forget to recover your specific BIOS settings after the BIOS flash and the required rebooting!

Good luck!

Thanks for your answer, Fernando…
I checked the Bios-File i made before and as i have seen, the things are in it.
biobio

An “USB Flashback Feature” is not on the Z390-E.
Tomorrow i will install another CPU on the Board i can boot into DOS and try to boot with AFUDOS with /gan - do you think this will work…?

I´ve done it - could not sleep…

prob12

As you can see Microcode is updated… But the same behaviour like before…
What should be the problem…?
Only with CC150 CPU. Tried Intel I5-9500T and Pentium G5400… Both are working without problems.
The only thing i can found is “no NVME drive found”.

rst12345

Should the RST Driver be too old…? Edit: i changed it also…

As this cpu model lacks turbo, it should be something related in bios code to that or in ME Firmware settings.

Also i installed newest IME Firmware from here Version 12.0.96.2562

I found a way to make everything work.
The problem did not lie with ME at all. It’s in Asus, or rather in TPU, by lowering it you can make everything work

You need to add microcode to this BIOS version and everything will work.

THX for your answer. This is first release Bios 0224 from 2018.
Are there the TPU settings in Bios available…?

I flashed it with the ch341 programmer. When I turned it on for the first time, it updated something and launched the BIOS, thinking that it was the TPU. The question remains: how to replace it in new BIOS versions

Do you have a CC150, too and had the same problems…?
Like this information it runs on a 2101 Bios with Microcode FA

I have a cc150 and I tried microcode FA but still have the same problems as you
