We also can use generic pass-though driver to drive them. Use Include = umpass.inf

What’s the latest Intel Chipset Device Software for Intel 3rd gen ? The support page for my notebook (Ativ Book 2) don’t have the drivers to download

>Intel Chipset Device Software Set v9.4.2.1020 WHQL< Mirror

ATIV Book 2 support page does have all drivers you need, just not the latest ones

I’m confused with versions. Please tell me the latest version of the driver for the Intel X99 chipset. Thanks!

@Darkseed :

It is v10.1.3.1 (for Haswell-E resp. Wellsburg CPU Series).

for x299 the last is?

@panosxidis : All users of a system with an Intel chipset can easily verify whether they are using the currently latest Intel Chipset INF files by doing the following:
1. Download and unzip the currently "Latest Intel Chipset Device INF files v10.1 Series WHQL", which I am offering within the start post of this thread.
2. Do a right-click onto the device named "Intel(R) SMBus", which is listed within the "System Devices" section of the Device Manager, and choose the options "Update Driver" > "Browse my computer…".
3. Hit the "Search" button, navigate to the folder, which contains the above mentioned "Latest Intel Chipset INF files", and click onto "OK".
If you get the message, that the latest/best driver is already installed, you know, that there is no Intel chipset INF file which needs an update. If the driver of the "Intel SMBus" should be updated, the user should check the same way as before the up-to-dateness of the other listed "System Devices", whose names start with the word "Intel".

Hey there,

I’ve searching for the latest INF-Driver for an Z87-Chipset?

Since Intel Z87 chipsets usually use a LynxPoint series CPU, the latest INF file is v10.1.3.1 wrongly dated 07/18/1968.

I get the message "This platform is not supported" when I try to install "Intel Chipset Device Software Set v10.1.18716.8265 WHQL" for a motherboard with Intel 9 Series Chipset under Windows 7. How can I install this manually?

The guide is - as nearly always - within the start post.

There are more than 10 Intel devices under system devices. Do I have to update each one individually and from which one do I start?

@kyriacos : If you want to update the Intel chipset INF files manually, you have to do it for each device individually. The order doesn’t matter.
You will get a message whether the “driver” has been updated or not. All listed Intel chipset devices need/will use the same version number. That means: Either all or none of them will be updated, when you offer the package with the latest “pure” Intel Chipset INF files.
Note: Not all Intel devices, which are listed within the “System Devices” section of the Device Manager, are real Intel chipset INF files. The “Intel(R) Management Engine Interface” may need a real MEI driver.

I found that Intel INF 10.1.1.38 (with installer) seems to work for Intel 9 Series Chipset.
