Intel (Converged Security) Management Engine: Drivers, Firmware and Tools (2-15)

@Fernando

By the way I have another question: do I need a efi/satadriver module (ffs file) that is TRIM modded to get TRIM functionallity on my X79 board (using dev.2822)? From a previous post by you I understood that the TRIM mod is only needed for the OROMs and the drivers do support it natively. But now I found TRIM modded EFI/SATA driver modules in your downloadsection…

@lordkag

If it’s no stress for you could you maybe modify the TRIM modded EFI/SATA driver module from 12.9 branch for me so that the name appears as “satadriver12” and the BIOS dependencies are suitable for my board? We had this matter a couple of weeks ago together with another member and you prepared a set of EFI drivers from 11.6 -13.1 for me (but I think they’re unmodded)

Best regards hanson

No, the DEV_2822 RAID ROM and EFI SataDriver modules natively do support TRIM in RAID0 for X79 chipset systems.

These TRIM modded SataDriver modules are designed for Z68 and P67 chipset RAID0 systems.

OK thank you for the quick reply. I was not sure as the X79 belongs to Intel’s 6 series chipsets…

Just a heads up. The reason that many boards are having trouble with v9.1 & 9.2 ME Firmwares is that its BIOS counterpart the ICC Libraries are unable to communicate if they are still v9.0 based.
This results in BCLK and other issues…

Guys…anybody has System Tools 9.1.x.xxxx…?

with FWUpdLcl64 v.9.1.x.xxxx

v.9.0.xx.xxxx didn’t work on Z97 system.

I am sorry, but I haven’t yet seen a v9.1.x.xxxx FWUpdLcl64.exe file.
Do you think, that the v9.0 updater doesn’t work?

Seems that in last package with v.9.1.2.1010 will work…
Let you know later.

Edit:
yea,is working on Z97 system…

Does that mean, that the Win64 Flash Tool v9.0.21.1452 as part of the FWUpdate package v9.1.2.1010, which I am offering within the start page, is able to get the ME FW v9.1.2.1010 properly flashed onto Z97 boards?

Hmm,not so…bat file (text to flash) is important.This is the reason I cann’t flash.
You have my link here:

or
post #3570

I think .bat file Pacman edit…also MEInfo working on Z97 system.

100% tested by me…BCLK working as usual…and CPU multi…x1.25…x1.66…

Edit:
Running with ME firmware 9.1.2.1010…

@ ex58:
Thanks for your reply.
Since the 32bit version of the ME Flash Tool v9.0.21.1452 worked for you, I suspect, that the 64bit version will work as well with v9.1.xx.xxxx ME Firmware versions.

64bit is renamed (to be easier write in .bat file)…so looks like 32bit,but is not.
Check the size of file.
This is 64bit version.

Ok, then my package, which contains the original 64bit Flash Tool, will work as well.

Yes,
but most important is .bat file…(text inside):
>>>>

me_flash.bat >>>
@echo off
pushd %~dp0
FWUpdLcl -FORCERESET -F ME_FW_9.1.2.1010.bin
pause

me_info.bat >>>
@echo off
pushd %~dp0
MEinfo
pause

Hello M Fernando,

The 10x branche’s drivers are able to be installed on my X79, directly via the device manager (only the mei driver). on the first page you said “seem to be usable”, of course my device ID is 1D3A, have you got any official information about that, cause i always found that this 10x MEI drivers are compatible with Intel 9 series motherboard.

Thanks for your feedback

Ghostearth.

@ Ghostearth:

The usability of a certain Intel MEI driver depends on the DeviceID of the special Intel ME device, which has been built onto the related mainboard (and not primarily on the chipset of the MB).
That is why I have mentioned within the start post all DeviceIDs, which are supported by the newest Intel MEI drivers v10.0.0.1204.

@Fernando

Thanks for the response.

So if understand correctly, if a x79 (or another) chipset get a another DEVICEID than those you’ve mentionned, the driver won’t install???.

Ghostearth.

Yes, I have posted all Intel MEI DeviceIDs, which are supported by the Intel MEI drivers v10.0.0.1204 (listed within the related INF file).

I have "ME Version: N/A" into BIOS on my mobo (ASUS x79-DELUXE). How can i reflash it for fix?

@ digitalfarseer:

Although I am not able to help you myself, I want to welcome you at Win-RAID Forum!

Fernando
