Hey guys.
Sorry, I’m a newbie in firmware-related research. I have next question and would be really grateful for the help.
My laptop is Lenovo ThinkPad T410 (up-to-date Win 8.1 x64) with motherboard chipset Intel QM57 (IbexPeak-M DO).
I’ve successfully installed Intel ME Toolset from Lenovo (Intel Management Engine Interface 6.2 for Windows 8.1). Below you can see output of MeInfoWin.
I’ve also downloaded Intel ME System Tools v6 r1 for 5-series. But the problem is that Flash Image Tool (fitc.exe) can’t dump full SPI flash content. For example, it shows next warning.
After I’m trying to do dump (F5), it writes into dump file 0xFF instead of real data.
Stupid question: is it possible to build full image of SPI flash firmware with help of Flash Image Tool & what I did wrong. Thanks in advance.
Yes it’s possible. Please attach your current bios dump file and I’ll try to fix it for you.
How I can get "current bios dump file"? Or u mean that dump I’ve got with Intel Flash Image tool with 0xff values?
You can simply use AFUWIN64 or FPTW64 from command prompt (Windows shell).
