I’m attempting to extend the life of my Dell G5 5587, specifically by rolling back the BIOS (version 1.10.0) to address the Plundervolt issue and enable CPU undervolting to manage thermal throttling. I was able to successfully rollback the BIOS, but encountered an issue when I couldn’t rollback the Intel Management Engine. During the BIOS update, I received an error saying “ME Firmware EndUpdate Failed Error: 0x00002267.” After some research, I found that it’s possible to manually rollback the Intel ME, and the recommended method is to extract the Intel ME bin from the bios.exe file. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to do that. I would greatly appreciate any help, whether it’s advice on downloading the appropriate Intel ME firmware for the corresponding BIOS or any other guidance you can offer.
