Intel Management Engine not showing up, Surface Book 2: Is it Dead Jim?)

Surface-Modell:* Surface Book 2, 13,5-Display, Modell 1832 i7
SAM:* 182.2304.139.0
UEFI:* 390.3732.768.0
Touch driver:* 242.0.1.5
Wi-Fi driver:* 15.68.17022.122

After Bad firmware update of the IME:

After contacting Microsoft Support, they said it was hardware-related and could not help. I should buy a new one.

After a clean system reinstall, IME is not showing up at all. Noting in the HWInfo64 report also.

A repair shop wasn’t aware of the problem with the IME — they ignored me and tried to change the display unit. After this wasn’t working, they wanted to change the whole board.

Is it possible to try anything in software? I do not have experience with this.

If not, any tips on how to find a repair shop in Germany which knows what a ME is?

Its not an easy task for unexperienced users… an example here

The system needs to be disassembled, buying an SPI programmer, clean ME FW image, reprogram…

Some other examples: surface 2

EDIT: Search for an IT shop that has as part of their offered services, programming device services.

Thank You MeatWar. I read this thread allready but wasn´t sure it is hopeless.

My only option left is to find some Shop with this skill set.

Any help is appreciated.
