Intel mobile QM77 RST driver for Windows 10 question.

Hello everyone. First of all thank You fernando and the community for all of the information You’re providing on this site. I own a HP EliteBook 8470p laptop which is based on Ivy Bridge and QM77 mobile chipset and i am looking for some reliable information about Intel RST driver for Windows 10 for this platform. As far as i ve gone with this is i got RST version 12.9.4.0 working on this laptop but i am looking for makeing native Windows 10 RST to work. I ve found info that 14.x.x should work on this platform but it was not specified if its working on mobile branch. So I’m waiting for any input from You guys about this issue.
Best regards and have a nice day !

@izajasz :
Welcome at Win-RAID Forum.
The latest Intel RST drivers, which natively do support Intel 7-Series Chipsets (of Desktop and Mobile systems), are the v13.1.0.1058 WHQL ones.

Thank You for the input. I ve tried to install a 13 series driver (i downloaded it from station-drivers.com) and it popped out an error with message that the platform is not supported . Is there any need to modify the installer file ? I tried to install 12.9.4.0 and then 13 but it ended up in RST console corruption.

@izajasz :
Please post the HardwareIDs of the currently in use Intel SATA Controller.
You can find them by running the Device Manager, expanding the sections “IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers” and “Storage Controllers” doing a right click on the listed devices with the word “Controller” in thei name and then choosing the options “Properties” > “Details” > “Property” > “HardwareIDs”.
Tip: Intel Devices have the VendorID DEV_8086.

Currently i have a clean Windows 10 pro install without any drivers installed. IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers → Standard SATA AHCI Controller - The hardware ID is : PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1E03&SUBSYS_179B103C&REV_04 , Storage controllers → Microsoft Storage Spaces Controller - the hardware ID is : Root\Spaceport . If You need more info I’ll be happy to provide.

EDIT: I am thinking of using Your modded RST driver. Which one would You reccomend for Windows 10 Pro x64 with all latest updates for this HW ID ? I would like to use “Modded+signed Intel RST(e) drivers v14.8.0.1042” .

All “mod+signed” Intel RST/RST(e) drivers, which I am offering >here<, can be installed onto your Intel7-Series Chipset Mobile system running in AHCI mode (the latest is v14.8.1.1043), because the required HardwareIDs are within the related INF files…
Nevertheless I do not recommend to install any Intel RST(e) driver of the v14 series, because they do not run perfectly with older Intel chipset systems. If I were you, I would take either the Intel RST(e) driver v13.1.0.1058 WHQL or the “mod+signed” variant of the v13.2.4.1000 driver.
