@100PIER : Thanks for your report and for your questions. Meanwhile I was able to solve your problem to get the v6.1.2.1008 properly installed for your on-board Intel sSATA AHCI Controller DEV_8D62. Station-Drivers has offered a package, whose "F6-Drivers" do only support RAID systems, whereas the original Intel RSTe drivers v6.1.2.1008, which can be extracted from the SetupVROC.exe, do support both kinds of SATA Controllers (SATA+sSATA) and SATA modes (AHCI+RAID). The required INF file for your on-board Intel sSATA AHCI ports is named iaAHCIB.inf and is missing within the "F6-Drivers", which are within Station-Driver’s Set and was missing within my previously offered "64bit Intel RSTe SATA+sSATA AHCI & RAID drivers v6.1.2.1008 WHQL for Win8-10 x64". Meanwhile I have added this file.
Here are my answers: 1. Yes. I recommend to download the "64bit Intel RSTe SATA+sSATA AHCI & RAID drivers v6.1.2.1008 WHQL for Win8-10 x64" again and to replace your currently working AHCI driver. 2. Yes. 3. No, you can install the newest RSTe AHCI driver v6.1.2.1008 WHQL and compare the performance with the previously used driver version.

I have not used the "Have Disk" method, the offered folder with subfolder option was sufficient and automatically accepted without need to be aware of iaAHCIB.inf file presence. The final driver installed is named IASTORB.sys ANVIL score is quite acceptable for this low cost and old SSD (Kingston 120GB). However the ANVIL score (7400) is lower than with v5.5.0.1334 (7710). Thanks again for the resolution of the problem.
No. Since this tool is part of the Intel RST RAID driver v17.5.0.1017, I recommend to downgrade the in-use Intel RST RAID driver to one of the v17.2 development branch (my tip according to my own RAID0 tests: v17.2.6.1027). If you shouldn’t be able to get the problem solved, I suspect, that it is a not yet solved bug of Win10 v1903.

Intel RST Drivers & Software Set v17.2.6.1027 dated 03/25/2019
Notes: According to my recent Intel RAID0 benchmark comparison tests these drivers and this Set seem to be very good for Intel RAID systems. That is why I re-offer them within the start post.
So managed to get it working, transferred all (CPU, RAM, RAID HDD, etc.) to a new board. Booted Win10 & everything worked like a charm - except 1 thing, intel RST.
Now, I’m working with intel RST v9.6.0.1014 with intel ICH8R (DEV_2822). My RAID in BIOS says that I use RAID1, but Win10 sees all drives & RAID drive. & intel RST says "status: Incompatible"
Am I working with correct version of driver? Any better solution? Can I somehow switch intel RST to see my drive in RAID 10? How can I do that? Suggestion needed.
I just found out the forum, was reading all I can and trying to figure out a driver I can use, but I am afraid I need some Help.
I recently installed (Win10 1903, clean Install) a SSD Kingston on my old notebook Lenovo G400S, i7-3612QM, Chipset Intel Ivy Bridge, HM76. I checked the old update page for this model and there is a WIN 8.1 Intel Rapid Driver for it AHCI is enable in BIOS and working, the system installed the Standard AHCI SATA controller. My question is if I could install the INTEL AHCI driver, which one to pick up and if there will be any improvement with it.
@mmsts : Welcome to the Win-RAID Forum! Yes, you can install any Intel RST AHCI driver, which supports the Intel 7-Series Chipset of your notebook, but you will not get a big performance improvement. Thanks Fernando for the reply and for the great forum. Would be possible you suggest one driver I could start testing, from what I read, the v11.2.0.1006 WHQL is a safe bet, or there is another more recent/advanced I could try?

@mmsts : My suggestion is to try the Intel RST(e) driver v13.2.8.1002, which has been mod+signed by me, but don’t forget to import the Win-RAID CA Certificate before you start with the driver update.

With v17.2 series absolutely no problem and so I do recommend at the moment for X99 Intel RST v17.2.12.1035 driver.

@100PIER Hello. I have an X99 Deluxe II motherboard with VEN_8086 & DEV_8D02. And the last supporting driver for DEV 8D02 I can install only RST v14.8.18.1066. Versions RST v.15, v.16, v.17 are not supported. How did you install RST v17.5.1.1021 on X99. Thank.
On X99 Sabertooth I do recommend to install RST v17.2.12.1035 with the Intel DEV_2822. With v17.5.1.1021 you get intempestive “RstMwService.exe” crashes (see post#2056). To install v17.2.12.1035 I do use the standard ‘have disk’ method pointing to the appropriate v17.2… folder (pure driver) and get final installation without any problem:
The other Intel SATA Controller on X99 Sabertooth mboard is DEV_8D62 handling sSATA via a v6.x driver.
On my mboard I have no DEV_8D02.
On stationdrivers.com for each RST driver version you have the list of the supported DEV_xxxx ids.
