Here, I give a modded BIOS for those systems with some additions:
300 Series: 320-14IKB, 320-14ISK 80XG, 320-15IKB (Type 80XL, Type 80YE), 320 Touch-15IKB (Type 80XN), 320-15ISK, 320-17IKB (Type 80XM), 320-17ISK, 320-15ISK Laptop (ideapad) - Type 80XH
500 Series: 520-15IKB (Type 80YL)
B Series: B320-14IKB
V Series: Lenovo V320-17ISK, V320-17IKB (Type 80AH) Included in this mod:
A GOP driver update was also available, but this made the screen rotated in the other direction. This is why I won’t upgrade that.
So go ahead and give your 2017’s laptop’s BIOS a better life!
– Work in Progress –
I might add more things to the mod soon. mod_BIOS.zip (4.7 MB)
I think you might be able to use the following application to do this:
Download the file from here. Run the Unlocker.exe file as administrator on Windows. If it says success, reboot and go into BIOS and WHOLLA! You should have the advanced BIOS settings.
So your BIOS is different but I think the unlocker I listed above should work, it’s not really newer than my laptop and I think it has a great chance to work. Go ahead and try it out!
@Kingmrx89@Turboslayer123 Download this file: https://github.com/SmokelessCPUv2/LenovoH2O-Unlocker/releases/download/0.1.5/Unlocker.exe
Then run it as administrator from Windows (right click on the file >> Run as administrator in File Explorer). It should say success if it worked, otherwise it will say error or failure. What I will also do you for you guys is download your BIOS’ ROM, then check whether it contains cE!. If it does, there’s a chance that it can be unlocked.
Hello. Thanks for the reply. I have four laptops. One Lenovo Ideapad 110-15ACL AMD A8-7410 & One Lenovo Ideapad 320-15ABR AMD A12-9720P & Two Lenovo ThinkPad 11e 2nd gen AMD A4-6210. I want to learn how exactly to unlock the hidden advanced menus in the BIOS using UEFI Tool or something similar. I want to study it & learn it & I was hoping you may guide me good sir?
For the Ideapads, it may be as easy as using this and follow the steps to check in UEFITool whether the string exists (more info on the page):
For the Thinkpads, it may also be possible depending on the dates of release and type of BIOS/UEFI firmware. I’d need more information and research for that.
I modded all of them except the thinkpad 11e. I need to know how to use RWEverything to identify the MSR Registers for TDP & Thermal Limit on A12-9720P, A8-7410, and A4-6210 APU’s. thanks
