I have attempted to mod the bios of my ASUS m5a78l-m lx plus. It is a 760G chipset with SB710. It uses DEV_4392. I tried the linked 3.3.1540.19 and another DEV_4392 3.3.1540.14 (found on another site) and both failed to detect any drives. The 3.2.1540.15 linked worked however. Not wanting to give up on getting the 3.3 series to work I finally found a working combination. I extracted 3.3.1540.11 from a BIOSTAR TA960 which happens to also be a 760G/SB710 combo. So I am thinking that in addition to DEV_4392 chipset and/or sb also matters.

Welcome at Win-RAID Forum!
The module named "AMD RAID ROM v3.3.1540.19 for DEV_4392", which I am offering within the start post, should work with all DEV_4392 AMD RAID Controllers, but you have to additionally update the related BIOS module named MISC.BIN to the same version.
Otherwise the updated AMD RAID ROM will not work properly.

Well I am not new to here, I am actually the one who first mentioned the amd ahci 3.1.2.0 rom to you.
Yes of course the matching misc.bin was used. I will retry it again just to be sure.
Can you tell me what was the source bios for the 3.3.1540.19 was? Perhaps I can try extracting it directly myself.
Just a suggestion, you might want to start including checksums on offerred files so users can verify they have a proper downloaded copy.
No, I don’t remember that.
Your idea is good, but I don’t have the required time to do it.
how to find and update misc.bin
