I have a windows 11 system. Im looking to add 8-10 SATA ports without adding a lsi raid card. Is there an m.2 adapter that will let me connect 8-10 SATA drives and configure them in RAID?
@m_malyszko
What is the reason for your request? What do you expect from a SATA RAID Array nowadays?
You should better look into the websites of the related hardware dealers than to ask here for such product.
I just purchased a rtx 5080. My mobo is a Asus proart x670e, so my new GPU will go in the top slot. My second slot is currently being occupied with a sound card, and I have a LSI card in the third. I plan on keeping the sound card, but want to get rid of the LSI card. I want the GPU to have all pcie 5.0 lanes. So my only way of adding more SATA ports is thru a m.2 adapter. But I need RAID capability. Do you know of any cards?
Best shot is to use a m2 to pcie converter, and put your LSI on it.
Oh wow. I had no idea these things exist. Thank you for the suggestion.
To All. Please take note from liudav. This is the answer I was looking for.
