i can see serial number, type of machine model of mother in the me region, may can it be used for something?
There’s another block just above the readble machine data which has ‘NO DATA…’ in a stock bios, in between there seems to be an RSA key, the block which contains ‘NO DATA…’ in stock bios mIght be a encrypted copy of the board data, or possibly might not be related at all.
Flash the 8 MB file with empty NVRAM first.
ok thanks I go for it
My previous post is not mine, I read it in a Lost_N_BIOS post a few years ago about another m92p, it indicates where to locate things
sorry for the delay in answering
after the last flah the mother has died
no power, no fans, may due no had nvars
No problem, I bought another from Secon Hand in France
and if there was any problem with bios I would contact you
Thanks for the help
Sorry to hear that, but it’s probably not dead but just bricked (if not damaged something while flashing). Triple checked the file again, it’s a clean ME and the first parts of bios region are stock. Did you change content of the 2 MB SPI in between, maybe?
Empty / stock NVRAM doesn’t normally brick a board. Anyway: No reason to give up at once- the board should get into the same state as before when flashed with the existing firmware or maybe even work again when flashed with a proper firmware…
This is a ‘pure’ stock bios region without machine specific data and a ‘fresh’, clean ME region (8 MB and 2 MB files):
M92p_ME_stock.zip (5.8 MB)
Did you clean CMOS by removing the battery in between? Some possibly conflicting settings might be stored there, too.
ok thanks i will do
corrupt bios is always the worst problem
I am an electronic engineer and I prefer a physical fault to a corrupt bios
I have always wondered where the voltage values are in a bios, now I know: in nvars, one always learns something
i flash it and i will tell you something
