lordkag, for now I think I’m going to just leave it the way it is for now. Marvell controllers seem to be tricky to flash in my opinion. They are the only ones that I have had problems with. My x58 had a Marvell controller update a while back and did not flash properly. After a couple of tries I managed to reflash and get it to work somehow. Most post on the subject of flashing them seem to say “if it works leave it alone”.

I bought a couple of new Sata drives for another computer. I must have the wrong firmware installed. The drive is seen in Bios, Boot Menu, and in accessible in Windows with f16t300p3936n2.zip. However Windows will not install or boot up to a drive on the controller. In one of your posts you asked what is the exact controller that your card uses. The chip on my card is "Marvell 88SE9123 - NAA2 P8A07603.1 0923 BOP TW". Tried the new smaller.rar and the oldbigger.rar and they did not work.
