Hello, everybody.
First, I really appreciate all the passionate professionals in this field who give sincere help to anyone.
I am trying to modify the BIOS of my " HP ProOne 440 23.8 inch G9 All-in-One Desktop", but no success.
I got the BIOS image file and tried it with UEFITool0_28, but it says “invalid UEFI volume” after loading the file. And It can’t reconstruct the image after replacing any part of it. The error massage was “invalid parameter”.
I would appreciate any advice. Thank you.
Work on bios_region
How do you intend to flash a mod bios file on this system?
Thank you for you reply.
I am going to use CH341A or sth like that.
Here is the link to the BIOS file.
I said to work on bios_region (YOUR system current SPI dump, not the HP file.
Not aware of your experience degree on this operations but i doubt that you’ll succeed to use the HP file, anyway good luck.
Wait for other users POV
I tried both spi dump and the file from HP, the results are the same (same error msg). Any other advice?
The UEFItool is an external developer tool and not often updated…
We are dealing with recent, modern bios structures here… so somehow expected.
You can decompose image with FIT, you can extract with UEFItool_NA and you can replace with HeX editor…but yes, indeed the regular version gives the mentioned error on every files or bios_region only, sorry out of ideias for now
