Modifying the default DSDT device.

I am currently setting up a Linx 10 tablet to use a different touch device than the BIOS default. I have changed the device in the UEFI menu. (In ‘Advanced’ then ‘OS/BOM Configuration’ menu for those that don’t know.) Anyway that does the trick but obviously if someone restores the BIOS defaults, the tablet will revert back to the default touch device.

Is there any way to change the default device permanently?

This is the normal BIOS behaviour: As soon as the user flashes a new BIOS or hits the related F button to restore the default settings, all previously done individual changes regarding the BIOS settings will be changed to DEFAULT and have to be re-done if desired.
I don’t know a way how to prevent this behaviour (unless you change the code of some system BIOS modules of the BIOS, which will be very difficult and risky).

Use Amibcp to do this. you can see : failsafe or optimal and you can change. Failsafe = the default setting :o)
