MSI E16J9 won't boot after failed flashing

While flashing from Windows using afuwin, it froze at the BOOT stage. I had to reset and unfortunately the laptop won’t boot anymore. Is it normal for the options from MEFW to disappear by themselves? I recently saw that I had two that didn’t allow flashing. I tried changing them several times to a value that allowed flashing. After a few attempts where I set ENABLE and press f10, the laptop starts again, restarts and the BIOS still says Disable. I missed a lot of BIOS options. Why? How can I fix the laptop now? I wrote to a large service today. Since I messed up the BIOS while flashing, I can throw away the disc. I understand that inserting a USB with ROM or a blind flash won’t help? Only a programmer? And which one should I buy? If it’s necessary, could someone recommend what to order?

Since the system now boots, try MSI notebook procedures for bios recover and/or M-Flash utility in bios, no more flashes in OS enviroment, thats this be a lesson to you.

ME Firmware displaying in bios as N/A, usually means bios corruption, more specific, the ME FW partition corrupted and no initialization, this can only be resolved with dumping the SPI bios regions/Whole SPI with a CH341A (Several guides in the forum), then cleaning/re-initialze the ME image (Guide also in the forum) and programmed back.
The whole process is NOT easy to unexperienced users neither can be teached in a “flash” lesson.

Normal recover and flash again the bios wont fix the ME FW as N/A, usually dont but maybe MSI recover metods can…witch i dont believe.

Usally a cheap USB CH341A from Amazon/Aliexpress will do the job, not an easy and straigth procedure for unexperienced users, a local repair shop can do the job with a reasonable price today.
Good luck

Sorry, I’m using Google translate. I must have been in a hurry and my message sounded different than I wanted it to.

The thing is, the laptop currently won’t start at all. And as I understand it, blind flash won’t work? Or just putting ROM on bootable USB also didnt help? ONLY the programmer?
If I have time, I’ll learn. I have some basics. And if it becomes a toy… Oh well. It’ll join the collection in the attic  and i have to learn somehow.

A local, larger service, because it has branches in several cities, replied that I can throw away the motherboard… If only the programmer wants to try, maybe I can do it. 15 euros is less than it will probably cost.

Was your quote…

“Blind flash” or old “Bot block” is usually a method from the OEM, if MSI has one for recover notebooks, besides internal M-Flash utility in bios.

Same as before, if MSI has a specific USB method for recovey on notebooks. This is NOT a “general” rule for any notebook model/brand, dont be fooled by quoations found from users on the web, always try the offical methods and options avaiable from the OEM.

This must be a shop that doesnt like doing this service, doesnt know how or the money asked doesnt fill their needs and just refuse to do such kind of work…it happens.

If you want to play with it and the asset is expandable…go ahead, buy an SPI programmer.
Thats it, nothing more to add from this point, good luck again.
