Please can I have some assistance adding new MC to an old BIOS?
I have an MSI infinite 8th board H310M PRO-M2 - MS-7B28 V2.1, with a EB915IMS.C30 BIOS. I’ve read that this is the same board as an MSI retail H310M PRO-M2 - MS-915B. I’ve extracted the MC from the relevant MS-915B’s A7 BIOS, but am not completely confident in editing the original.
Is there any chance of adding the MC for the i7-9700 to this BIOS along with the other updated MC?
MS-7B28 BIOS (EB915IMS.C30)
MS-915B BIOS (E7B28IMS.A70)
Extracted from MS-915B (E7B28IMS.A70) and wanted MC
My apologies if I have posted this in the wrong place, please feel free to move it?
Edit:
I got half way there with inserting the 906ed MC into the original BIOS, and needed to fix the FIT table. But in the end I updated W10 to 20H2, and made sure KB4589212 was also installed using a series 8 CPU i5-8400. After the update the i7-9700 was re-installed, and stopped giving a BSOD - oddly enough;-).
Thanks

This has reared its head again.
Can anyone help? I feel that wherever I ask, I get no responses? Perhaps I have offended the ‘Gods’!?!
Editation: Not wanton to be chippy; I have asked for help in various forums under a similar username, and perhaps it is just coincidental… But like ‘Little Red Hen’, I do not seem to be heard?
Night and take care.
Ok. I have managed to use UBU to replace the CPU ID’s 906EA & B with 906EC & 906ED ucodes. This bios only came with ucodes A & B, so I had to edit the mcupdate.txt found in Files\intel\mCode to replace A for D, and B for C:
906EB 1151v2\cpu906EC_plat22_ver000000EA_2021-01-05_PRD_8F16A419.bin
906EA 1151v2\cpu906ED_plat22_ver000000EA_2021-01-05_PRD_B05D764E.bin
Thanks to the developers for UBU:)
