At the time I had MSI Bios 2.8 (05/27/2016) and following your instructions had SUCCESS in modding the Bios

- Original EFI IRST RAID for SATA (13.1.0.2126)
- Modified EFI IRST RAID for SATA (14.8.2.2397)
- Here is my Current Intel RST Report:

Kit installed: 14.8.9.1053
User interface version: 14.8.9.1053
Language: English (United States)
RAID option ROM version: 14.8.2.2397
Driver version: 14.8.9.1053
ISDI version: 14.8.9.1053

So now there is MSI Bios 2.9 (07/25/2016)

Here is a screen copy from UBU_v1.59.1

1-Intel RST(e) OROM and EFI SataDriver
OROM IRST RAID for SATA - 14.8.0.2377
OROM IRST RAID for SATA - 14.8.0.2377
EFI IRST RAID for SATA - 14.8.0.2377

The MSI site has Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driver_14.8.0.1042 (05/11/2016)

On your site these are the latest in the v14 line

Latest RST(e) drivers from the v14 line:

>32bit Intel RST(e) AHCI/RAID Drivers v14.8.9.1053 WHQL< (>MIRROR<)
>64bit Intel RST(e) AHCI/RAID Drivers v14.8.9.1053 WHQL< (>MIRROR<)
>Intel RST(e) AHCI/RAID Drivers & Software Set v14.8.9.1053 WHQL< (>MIRROR<)

Best matching Intel RAID ROM/EFI BIOS modules: v14.8.2.2397

So do i just go ahead and do the mod with the same like I did before, I am just trying to be sure with this, course it worked GREAT before…

- Intel-RSTe_RAID-ROM_v14.8.2.2397
- Intel RSTe Drivers & Software Set v14.8.9.1053

Sorry it’s so long…

My short answer: Yes, this I what I recommend to do.
Additionally I would update the Intel EFI “RaidDriver” module of the BIOS to v14.8.2.2397 a well and install the OS in UEFI mode.
