Hi everybody,
So long story short, I help run a livestreaming club at my alma mater and utilize a Windows only program called vMix. I ordered for them a Lenovo ThinkSystem SR655 V3 and after getting it installed a Quadro RTX 5000 and it booted fine.
The only issue is that for some stupid reason, Lenovo didn’t add an option to enable resizable bar in the bios even though 4th gen Epyc 100% supports it as Gigabyte and SuperMicro both sell servers that have it.
I was able to get from Lenovo’s site a zip file containing a uxz file containing a upd file that contains a .tar file which I used NvStraps Rebar to modify the the file and add the necessary modifications.
That’s where I got stuck. See I have a modified file and have tried all sorts of ways to repackage the file into the original zip but it either errors out on the firmware update immediately cause it can’t find the file or won’t let me even hit ok to apply the update.
What’s really annoying is that their 2 latest ThinkSystems now have Resizable bar built in but after talking to support they can’t promise me that the V3s will get it even though they still sell it.
Any help is appreciated.
