I recently installed Windows 7 on my Asus FX553VD laptop, it has an Intel Core i5-7300HQ and 16GB of RAM, and the problem I’m currently facing is the battery not being detected.
There is a red cross on the battery indicator:
Surprisingly, when I unplug it, it still works and there is no problem in Windows 10/11.
I searched everywhere for a solution and couldn’t find anything.
If anyone faced the same issue and fixed it, please let me know how you did it! It’s really annoying to not know at what percentage I’m at when using the PC unplugged.
