Hi,
i have an msi z170 krait gaming 3x with an i5 6500, i downgrade bios to overclock my nonk cpu and when i put in mobo m2 ssd (samsung 970evo) my bios did not recognize the m2.
Can i modify the nonk bios?
Thanks for any help.
@neal - yes, you simply need to do the NVME modification to the non-K BIOS you are using, then reflash it again
[Guide] How to get full NVMe support for all Systems with an AMI UEFI BIOS
Check all the BIOS volume to make sure NVME modules aren’t already there by manufacturer, before doing any modifications, if they are then you probably just need to re-adjust BIOS settings.
Thanks for the replay, i will try it!
I did it, but i cant find a way to flash the bios. I look the guid for flashing and there is no option for msi motherboard. Can i try with AMI Aptio ?
Flash from within BIOS, rename mod BIOS file to original BIOS file name including the extension, and then put on USB. Inside the BIOS itself there is built in flash tool, I forget it’s name. That’s how I’ve always flashed mod MSI BIOS without any issues.
my m2 now works perfect, thanks dude
