I found the location for connecting the socket occupancy to ground.
The lower pad of VT98 is the socket pin and the upper one is connected directly to ground
This is a stupid question, does this coffee lake mod inherently also increase the max memory supported or are ram slots max capacity still being dictated by a bios configuration? H110 supports 32gb max but 9th gen intel should support 64gb… does this bios mod make the Deskmini H110 support 64gb?
I was looking for a solution to the MacOS wake issues and Linux GPU freeze issues caused by Skylake IGPU and then I saw that people here are modding bios to run coffee lake chips on skylake boards…
You saved me the effort of going through the steps myself as this is the board I’m using.
I’ve installed you bios and plugged in an 8100T and it booted up no problem. Looks promising to fix my issues. Thanks so much for posting this!
Maybe throw this BIOS into CoffeeTime utility and add those patches? Also ReBAR?
Also look into ‘mining’ adapter for the M.2 slot. I have a teeny tiny x8 GT7xx card plugged into my STX board now . (I do have to feed it 12v). Now I am just looking for a case that looks like a scale PC case, like maybe a hi-fi speaker I can put an acrylic window in the side of.
Thank you for this mod, I will try my 8100t, and my 7700t
I unfortunately had not have any luck with flashing this bios. I bricked the bios after trying, both this and my own coffeetime output.
