The two motherboards are the same. The k6+ is different in that it comes with an external usb 3.0 front panel.

ok it says image not found when i try it in instant flash

what would you suggest isolating them with?
I haven’t tried yet 6 core CPUs. I have an i3 8100 on the k6 motherboard and it works fine. Only bios flash is required for the 4 core.
6 core required for the connection and isolation.

hello , i have the Fatal1ty Z170 Gaming K6+ mobo and now running with an i5 6500@4,25Ghz (bclk 133 x 32 multi)
i was at first interested in using a i5 8400 and overclock it using the external generator, but from reading this thread, bclk overclock doesn’t work (at least not now) so today i am going to buy the 8600k.
So where do i start?
i only need support for skl 6500 and cflk 8600k.
I see intel ME being mentioned a lot. how to downgrade it ? this mobo has dual bios and the motherboard has an old bios with old intelME in the bios_B , doens’t this flash the ME to an older firmware ?
my point is, mobo has BIOS_A and BIOS_B
Can’t i just switch to bios B and from there
use the function that says backup bios B > A
after that switch to bios A.
Shlouldn’t that downgrade the intelME ?

never done pencil mod on cpu, so maybe needs more pencil! any advice for the pencilmod on the cpu ?

I made it with coffee time 0.7
Is the pencil mod the same with 8700k or do I have to also isolate the other two pins
