[OFFER] AsRock Z170 Gaming Fatal1ty K6 - Coffee Lake 4c/6c

Hello, thanks to the help of the guys of this forum and folowing this guide, I managed to mod my board in order to get Coffee Lake CPUs compatibles.
It works with the 4 core just by flashing the bios and on the 6 core by shorting the pins (No need to isolate the other 2 on this board).
It has also the skylake microcode. SKU has been changed to Z370. Without it, it wouldn’t work. This bios can be flashed via the utility in the bios, the SPI programmer is not needed.
It cannot change all 6 the multipliers of the cores, but since there is an excellent BCLK external generator, OC is not a problem. I personally achieved a 4.75Ghz (125x38) clock with 4.25Ghz of cache at 1.225 volt.

EDIT
With the help of @s.napi now the bios supports ratio change. There it is the updated version: https://www.sendspace.com/file/3ctwqk
P.S. @4.9Ghz at 1.25 volt now :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks for the modded bios. Just wanna be clear before I pop in a i7-8700 CPU. Is this correct: ? Update my mobo with my current i5-6500 cpu using your bios, shutdown at the end of update via power plug, short the 2 pin on 8700 CPU using pencil, install the CPU, start the PC, and that’s all? Is there a need to manually set cpu frequency, multi, voltage? Ram XMP detection still works? Do I have to bother with Intel management engine? Mine is v11.8.5.

I’ve been searching for this bios for a long time: D Thanks for sharing it with us! I have some questions. Do I have to make any settings, or do I have the i3 8100 processor and do not have to make any bios?

@ItxLeo

@all, I believe you will need to ensure you are using older Intel ME before using the above BIOS (11.6 or 11.7)

I looked at 11.6.0.1126. I’m really new in this area and that would be my question. If this bios blow, then the skylake and the kaby lake will work the same way?

Yeah, exactly. If te ME you have is prior to mine then you just have to flash.
Thanks @Lost_N_BIOS

Thanks! So: If I flash this patched bios, then 6xxx 7xxx and 8xxx will work on the Asrock z170 fatality k6 motherboard? (I can not speak English well)

Anything with ME version 11.7.0.3xxx or above will fail - [GUIDE] Coffee Lake CPUs on Skylake and Kaby Lake motherboards (39)
This means if your current ME is newer/above that 11.6/11.7, you need to flash it back to older version first, before you can use this BIOS

CH341A mini programmer if delete the original BIOS and then flash the phaced bios so good?

Original bios is now on the motherboard.
Bios version: 7.20
ME: 11.8.50.3425

CH341A Mini Programmer: Clear chip and write phaced bios.

Will all three processors work in it? 6, 7 and 8?
Or just the 8th?

No @MexqQ - you need to downgrade ME in BIOS before you program back to board, using the ME clean guide - [Guide] Clean Dumped Intel Engine (CS)ME/(CS)TXE Regions with Data Initialization
Use 11.7.0.1229 as your replacement ME during the cleaning/setting transfer process

What CPU’s will work depends on what microcodes you have in the BIOS.

Thanks for the reply @Lost_N_BIOS . What @ItxLeo links here is pached bios in 11.6.0.1126. Should I replace it with 11.7? Does not work 11.6?

@MexqQ - 11.6 should work OK, but yes you can update to 11.7.0.1229 if you want, if you do be sure to use the guide so settings get transferred.
To better answer you about what CPU’s will work, only these microcodes are included in the BIOS linked at post one (Updated version) >> 906EA + 906EB
If you need other or one added plus the above two I can modify for you again (Possibly, sometimes you can’t fit three in there, but not always a limit of two)

Thanks for the answer! Yes, I know that only 2 processors are treated with sky and coffee. Amit @ItxLeo link to replace ME with “Clean me region tool” from 11.6 to 11.7 is so good? All that has to be done? I’m sorry about the many questions, but for the first time I do this.

I’m doing “Intel flash image tool”.

There are 4 of 11.7.0.1229.

11.7.0.1229_CON_H_D0_PRD_RGN

11.7.0.1229_CON_LP_C0_NPDM_PRD_RGN

11.7.0.1229_CON_LP_C0_YPDM_PRD_RGN

11.7.0.1229_COR_H_D0_PRD_EXTR

Which should I choose on the above mentioned motherboard?

(Again, I apologize for the many questions)

@MexqQ - guide tells you how to know that information, using ME Analyzer tool. You do not have to replace ME, I only said you can if you want to do that.
This is one you want >> 11.7.0.1229_CON_H_D0_PRD_RGN

If you need other CPU added, I can maybe do for you, let me know what CPU/CPUID you also need >> 906EA + 906EB + ?

Thanks for your help! I would use an i3 8100 on the AsRock Z170 Gaming Fatal1ty K6 motherboard. And there is i5 6500.
So you can stay at 11.6 and just flash the bios and work on the i3 8100 and the i5 6500?

@MexqQ - i5-6500 (CPUID 506E3) will not work with BIOS in post one.
Yes, you can use 11.6 ME, it’s OK. But BIOS as it is now will only work with your i3-8100 (CPUID 906EEB) I am not certain if there is some CPU’s that may need 11.7, or if everyone just found out now that is latest possible one you can use if you want.

Here, I edited for you, add 506E3 CPUID + Fix/Update FIT Table, now works with both CPU’s you mentioned and has microcodes for 906EA + 906EB + 506E3

Thank you very much!!! I’m thankful!!

That is this bios works with i3 8100 and i5 6500.
Any other Skylake would do this? For example i3 6100?
One more question:D
With this bios BCLK overclock is also possible coffee and skylake?

( I’ll get the 8100 on Wednesday. I’m reporting everything here! )

You’re welcome @MexqQ Happy to help you get BIOS perfect! Any other CPU that is same as these CPUID’s should work 906EA + 906EB + 506E3 (So yes, i3-6100 works = 506E3)

Bclk overclock I have no clue about for these boards/CPU’s, sorry, someone else will have to answer about that one for you.
