[OFFER] ASUS CrossHair V Formula Z MOD bios 2201

I did manage to get Win10 to see the RAID5, but with some odd results. I have a couple RAID arrays, and the Win10 installer sees one of them, but not the other (of course, Murpyh’s Law, it’s the one I want to install to). However, if you dig the Win8 RAID controller drivers out of the original CD (or download them from ASUS), you can force-load them during Win10 install, and then it sees all the RAID arrays.

Hello, I have Toshiba OCZ RD400
and adapter PCIe x4,
I want to make it bootable.
Motherboard CROSSHAIR V FORMULA-Z.
I’m asking for help,
how do i deal with this problem? I do not speak English ((( I use translit.

Thanks, that’s exactly what I thought. Now if one was to perform some overclocking we might see higher numbers I suppose… :wink:

Hello, I’m having a problem installing (Bios C5FZ.CAP) on the motherboard Asus Crosshair V Formula-z.

If you read the posts, they say you have to use the Flashback utility.

Hey guys, I got the bios updated, windows installed on my WD Black m.2, windows 10 doesn’t run very well on this system, it keeps locking up, the screen goes black, and games crash. It seems to be bios related and hoping someone can help? I switched to Win10 for steam gaming, and I’m usually on using Arch Linux when not gaming. It’s also running worse and locking up since switching to the mod bios.

Sys specs:
CVFZ mobo
FX-9590 no OC
2 x Ostrix-RX-480’s
32GB Corsair Dominator 2400 (though bios only lets me run 2133)…

Any help troubleshooting would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hello everyone, thank you so much for your support in this forum. It’s a long long time without updates, so I’ll try to do my best (if I have enough time) to update this bios. Because my current job don’t let me do that, I’ll past the development (temporary) to my friend Phoenix48, yes Phoenix48 the creator of the normal CFV modded bioses, he’s a good bios-modder and I’m sure he’ll do a good job at this time. So, if you watch this Phoenix48 you’re ALLOWED to MOD the Crosshair Formula V Z Bios files in this thread and update them with the latest modules available, thank you for your help. I’ll post a new update when I’ll have enough time in the future, if someone wanted to collaborate in this project too is WELCOME!!.

Best Regards!!

First, thanks to Stickmode for his trust.

As requested, here is the latest update:

Thanks for the good work Stickman and welcome Phoenix48

I want to have Linux on my m.2 and win10 on my ssd, with my m.2 as my primary boot option. Is this possible with your latest build?

Thanks

You have to read the posts… it said in here that the only way to flash it is with the flashback tool.

not work pc down

Why don’t you google “asus bios flashback”? The PC doesn’t have to boot for it to work.

ı make ıt but not work

Does anybody have experience with Linux on the m2, and windows on an ssd, and making the m2 the primary boot drive?

@arx

Yes, you can use your m.2 as primary boot. You just have to install Windows by using a USB key formated in GPT then go from there.

@bilal000009

To use Flashback, only one usb port in the back can be used for that. Read the manual to know which one exactly and how to use it.

@Phoenix48 thanks for the followup, yeah I am currently booting to my m2 with Windows10 installed - though I do most of my work in Linux, and I’d like to set up my machine with Linux on the m2 as primary boot.

I’m asking if it’s possible, rather than testing myself, because I currently have windows on the m2 and I don’t really want to reinstall.

If I can have windows on my ssd as second boot option, behind primary option: Linux on m2, that’s most ideal.

@arx

I never read of anyone putting Linux as primary with this bios with m.2 but i don’t see why there would be any problem to do it. It should be the same way as Windows to do it.
