I have not found a NVMe mod for P8Z77-V Premium motherboard, so I made one myself.
Files in the Archive:
P8Z77-V-PREMIUM-ASUS-2104.CAP is the latest official bios from ASUS.
P8Z77-V-PREMIUM-ASUS-2104-NVME.CAP is same bios with the NVME driver added, so that bios can boot OS from a NVMe drive.
The NVMe support was added following this tutorial:
Z77VPR.CAP is a copy of the P8Z77-V-PREMIUM-ASUS-2104-NVME.CAP , named due to ASUS “Renaming Rules” (where a firmware file name depends of the motherboard version).
how to flash bios
Patched bios is not signed, thus cannot be flashed using asus tools. Instead, use “Bios Flashback” feature.
- format a usb flash card with FAT32 filesystem
- copy the Z77VPR.CAP file on the flashcard.
- insert flashcard into the USB port with a green frame (flashback port)
- shut down the PC (but don’t disconnect the AC cable)
- press “Bios flashback” button for 3 seconds.
- The button should start blinking, which means the flashing process has been started.
- After 1-2 minutes the blinking will stop and you can power on the PC.
I was able to successfully install and boot windows 11 on NVMe and everything runs OK.
Many thanks to the guys from the Winraid forum.
P.S. “new users cannot upload files”
So I give a link to my google drive.
