BIOS/UEFI modded below, use EzFlash2 method in page 3-48,49

After flash set CSM to [DISABLED]

And Boot Control Devices to [UEFI only] see page 3-40 for more UEFI settings

hi @hancor, I am trying to flash your firmware but I get following error: “Security verification failed.”
can you help?
it is model P9X79-E WS, current version 1704 using Asus EZ Flash 2 Utility v02.00

I have just tried to flash the official P9X79-E-WS-ASUS-1704.CAP and this works, no error…

These are “mod” files, off course it fails, Asus/AMI firmware prevents it due to firmware security, nothing new and expected.
This one seems to be an exception using the embedded EZ.

right, thanks a lot, but I was following the instructions above, it explicitly says to use EZ Flash

@hancor or @MeatWar have you tried bifurcation on this mobo?

There’s guides for it (Asus X79 models and others X79/99) on the forum. I personally do not have this model anymore and on the time no BIF mod was performed on mine.
