How To Enable Resizable Bar

  • Normal Resizable Bar: Use ReBarSate from here, And Run as Admin.
  • Nvidia Turing (GTX 1600/RTX 2000): Use this, And Run as Admin.

You need to enable Above 4G Decoding for Resizable Bar and Disable CSM/Legacy (boot to UEFI only). To enable it, go to bios → Advanced → PCI Subsystem Settings → Above 4G Decoding and enable it.

Thank you so much for this mod, I have been trying fo the longest while to get above 4g decoding working, but this works very good with my Intel Arc a750 LE and Samsung NVme M2.

Trim support is working on raid and non raid ssds, rebar 8GB works.

The only thing this mod is missing is PCIe bifurcation so i can get my Asus Hyper M.2 x16 Gen 4 Card to see more than 1 nvme drive.

Although I have a question, I am using a Intel Xeon e5 2697 v2 CPU and it seems that i am getting something close to like an all core turbo, did the updated microcode cause this.

I am running a bclk of 113 and all cores remain at 3390MHz and below, no higher, i tries adjusting C states and all that but nothing. Even at bclk 100 stock all cores are 3.0GHz and below, no turbo boost on 1-2 cores.

Anyway thanks again for the mod and keep up the great work.

I honestly doesn’t know, but it might be. AFAIK latest microcode isn’t favorable for overclockers due to Spectre and Meltdown mitigation which i guess causes an additional load for the patch on the fly, reducing OC capabilities. I have tested this but on i7 3770s and Z68, the main difference was in the voltage it being used on the same OC but Auto voltage, notably the old Microcode does have a bit lower voltage.. but it also need the OS to load old microcode because the OS usually loads the latest mcode.

But since you’re using a Xeon cpu which usually a better binned chip for max power efficiency (not a High Clock bin from the start), it seems it might help.

thank you for your swift response,

The only thing this mod is missing is PCIe bifurcation so i can get my Asus Hyper M.2 x16 Gen 4 Card to see more than 1 nvme drive, and the cool ROG boot logo…

I will try to do this myself, right now my sata drives disappear with that high bclk so i am gonna fiddle with some settings to get it stable with max performance from my cpu.

Alex

I also have a supermicro x9dai with two e5 2687w v2 cpus, if i can get that updated code in a bios mod for that board so i can get that same result with those cpus.

I like to see that an advanced user like you using Raid :fire:. I do indeed didn’t change the logo to ROG because it’s a normal Asus Bios, as for Bifurication, since i have 0 experience for it, i think all i can say to you is to extract the .CAP of the modded bios, and use UEFIEditor to expose it (set Access to 05), and see if it works, or if you can get AMIBCP v4.55, it’ll be alot easier, and then open your modified .rom with hex editor, start at address 10 and block the whole stuff and copy it, then open the .CAPwith hex editor, block from address 810 down to the very last, and paste write (not paste insert), save it, and bios flashback yourself.

From what i’ve read, most they can do is 3 Nvme on a Hyper M.2 card.. but again, i don’t have experience on bifurication.

Hi, I would like to ask you for help. I have an asus P9X79 LE motherboard, will your custom bios fit my board?

Thanks @Koekieezz for that mod. It helped me a lot. Only remaining problem is that it does not recognize TPM 2.0 module :frowning:

Would it be possible for you add such support ?

@kamwo I cant add such thing. One thing you can do, is to actually open a support email to asus (set region where you buy to taiwan), give picture of your tpm module, tpm port, and send it to them.

One key if they reject: Persuade them very much. I received a tpm 2.0 bios from them for Maximus VII Ranger, but i have to persuade them very much until they agree. Just be polite, elaborative, and persuasive on the first email. I suggest ask them for tpm 2.0 support, 2023 secure boot keys, and native nvme boot capability.

thanks I will try.

is the case the same for Asus Sabertooth X79and gigabyte ga-x79-ud3 ?

Yes, when i meant that you need to persuade to your best, i do really mean it, and it took me several emails until they agree. So do your best on made a believable email that this matter is important to you. They will try to push you to “give up” because the board is EOL, while it is true, you can hope for them so that they will eventually agree to do the bios for you, just agree/tell them if you’re willing to take the risk and say that you have prepared for a backup measure. Since you have to persuade them, choose your words carefully, and make your request sound important. You can also said that Gigabyte eSupport were able to provide you for your X79 Gigabyte board with tpm 2.0 support, nvme native booting, and 2023 secure boot keys. I know it sounds like gaslightning, but i think it was also the key for them to take it for their consideration, just gaslit them politely.

for Gigabyte, you can do the same on their eSupport web, just set the region when about to make a mail to Taiwan and languange set it to english, like this:

Update 22-07-2026:

Hello, I would also like to ask your help/feedback: Would either of these custom bioses work for my Asus P9X79 Deluxe Motherboard?

@SinSharks It wont, but i can do 1 if you’re interested.

That would be awesome if you could. Also, please let me know what I can do to help you make this. I have very little BIOS modding experience, but I am more than willing to try to get you what you need and to learn along the way.

@SinSharks Downgrade to bios 4603 normally using EZ Flash in the bios, and after downgrading, shut down your pc, and then, flash this using Bios Flashback (extract the file and put the .CAP directly in your root folder): P9X79D_Complete.rar (4.4 MB)

To ensure bios flashback works, make sure your Flash drive is formatted at FAT32 and MBR Partition, otherwise it may fail. To activate rebar, you can read the 1st page. I’ll be waiting for results

The downgrade went well; unfortunately, the BIOS Flashback did not.

The Flashback process appears to complete successfully, but when I attempt to boot the computer afterwards, it powers on for approximately 0.5–1 second, shuts off, and then repeatedly cycles through the same behavior. The only way to stop the cycle is to physically disconnect the power cord between power cycles.

I was able to successfully use BIOS Flashback to restore the original BIOS version, 4603, from the ASUS website, and the computer once again boots normally.

I then attempted the steps a 2nd time and got the same results, and again using the BIOS Flashback with the original 4603 firmware to get the computer booting again.

Please let me know what the next steps you would like me to take are.

I might have done something wrong with the bios, i’ll try to remake it later from scratch

Could you please modify a BIOS for the P9X79 WS to include all the benefits? A million thanks.

The las bios is 4901

I am a new user; I cannot upload files, but I need to do so. Thank you very much.

I can’t seem to get Resizable BAR to work on my Asus P9X79-E WS , Has anyone ever made a Bios fix for this board? I have 4G encoding enabled and UEFI mode enabled (no CSM) And I still can’t get either my Tesla M40 24 gig or my Intel Phi coprocessor to work.
