[OFFER] ASUS Rampage V Extreme - modded BIOSes

@Fernando

Thanks for the welcome! I’ve already had great luck with 1902 modded, got my best OC ever on it, just testing now to see if 2101 modded is as good.

I added my system specs to my signature but it’s not showing up on my phone, can’t check on PC atm to tell if it’s showing up there.

In fact, the R5E-2001 MOD, has no "Uncore Module" updated, the problem comes from there I think (not the microcode 37)

It is to weep. 2101 modded hard crashed on me with DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION just under 4 hours into OCCT 4.4.2. Since that version of OCCT just came out a few days ago, I’m retrying 2101 modded with the 4.4.1 version I used to validate this OC on 1902 modded. Sadly doubt that’s the issue though, but eliminating every variable I can.

Can anyone tell me what differences there are as far as modding goes between 1902 modded and 2101 modded? Microcode 37, I know, but anything else? Uncore module added or removed between those 2 versions, anything like that?

Sadly it looks like I may be stuck on 1902 modded forever if I can’t figure this out, but the current OC is too good to pass up. If I am forced back to 1902 modded though, I do intend to rerun 14 hours OCCT just to make sure.

With 2101 modded, Uncore module isn’t updated

@tistou77

Can you confirm that 1902 modded had that uncore module?

If so, any chance a 2101 modded with that module will be released? Cause if that’s the case, it makes a tremendous difference in my ability to OC the cache (3.8 to 4.2).

If you can confirm or my current run fails, which I expect, I will try the 2001 version that has the uncore module rather than back to 1902 modded.

Cancel that request for 2101 with uncore module for now. I tried the 2001 version with it and, with my stable OC, I couldn’t pass post, qcode bF.

I also may have made an error testing 2101 modded. When it crashed, it was right after I woke the monitor up from sleep. That’s an error that has been known to be solved by disabling “Internal PLL Overvoltage”, and I can’t swear that I remembered to set that setting on that crashed run. So, will try it again.

Tomorrow morning I’ll upload some 2101 modded bioses with different stuff, including the Uncore Mod.

I’ve a lot of work to do and I can’t waste my time for the moment.

I tested different bios, and this is the microcode 37 that crashes my OC
Currently I have 1st 2001 bios modded by Sylar76 (All modules, Uncore module updated, but not the microcode) and no problems

It seems that the microcode 2D is more efficient than the 36
I did not test, there is no 2001 modded with micorcode 36 and "Uncore Module" updated

Sylar76, if you could make a mod of 2001 and 2101 with all modules updated, Uncore module and micorcode 36

Thanks so much for your great work

Thanks Sylar, waiting for your 2101 mod with uncore, 37 microcode, and all modules updated…

Just tried the one you uploaded and bandwidth is poor…

Best regards.

Ok, looks like I was right about the Internal PLL Overvoltage needing to be disabled. Almost 8 hours into OCCT 4.4.1 with the 2101 modded from page 1, and I’ve never had an OCCT run that passed 7 hours fail further along (tho I’m going to let it keep running just to be sure).

I have established for myself that my current great cache OC cannot be made to work with the unmodded BIOSs, it only works with the wonderful mods you guys have created, so thanks huge once again for all your great work.
