anyone got the ga-ab350? i have a lot of problems with bsods…
@peace_of_mind
which ga-ab350?
i have ga-ab350-gaming-wifi and no bsod - but coldboot problems
bsod is usually a faulty CPU OC or RAM OC
GA-AB350-Gaming-3-rev-1x. with Ryzen 5 1600X (no OC) and 2 x CMK16GX4M2B3600C18 using the XMP Profile #1 but reduced clock to 3200 mhz.
what bsod do you get?

this is usually a faulty RAM-OC!
or your hdd/ssd is faulty OR your Anti-Virus makes strange stuff
so lower clock on RAM an/or loose timings - test again
ALSO: use DDU in safe-mode to uninstall gpu-driver and reboot - install latest driver - reboot and test
1. I used DDU to completely reinstall newest nvidia driver.
2. I use windows defender
3. I use the OC profile provided by the mainboard settings and lowered clock to 3200mhz (ram can do 3600)
Tried to lower it to 2400mhz but this didnt change anything.
EDIT:
1. I think Ì had checked my hdds/sdds for errors in the past but can do it again, how do you recommend i do it?
2. I also stress tested my RAM in the past with MEMTEST and it had no errors
3. I believe its somewhat BIOS/Driver related but I am having a hard time to figure out which driver etc…
hmm just noticed the "NOTICE: 28/3/19" - was hoping we would/could get inofficial PCIe 4 support on our X370 Gaming 5 - but I totaly understand him
@ket
so thank you very much for your work so far! take your freetime for yourself/family/friends and enjoy!

Use HCI Memtest, not that DOS version that is extremely out dated and obsolete. Also make sure your memory is installed in the DIMM banks that have maximum compatibility for it. Samsung should be A1+B1, Hynix A2+B2.
PCIE revision 4 is working absolutely brill on my x470 gaming7 wifi with an official bios update from gigabyte, but im not sure about x370 boards.
my GA-AX370-G5 has PCi-E 4.0 support - but i didnt test that…
Recently, every single time I cold boot my PC it gets stuck at code 00, fans at 100%, CPU and DRAM LEDs alternatingly flashing. The only way to make it boot properly is to unplug power and reset CMOS, afterwards I can load my profile from before. This started after I replaced case fans and installed an M.2 heatsink. Anyone else run into this issue? I’m on F22b modded, have a first gen CPU so hesitant to update BIOS.
Does anyone here have a copy of the older rgb fusion software? i freaking hate the new version, cheers.
looking for version that came on the cd if poss
I have an issue with USB 3.0 & 3.1 port. I can charge my devices from it but W10 don´t detect those.
Running F31 BIOS version that supposed to fix some USB problems.
Anyone with the same issue or know how to fix it?
For any of you having performance issues with certain games, disable SMT multithreading
Guys, I am still running the 370 K3 board with the last available bios from KET. Is there any benefit/need to have the latest bios modded for performance etc…
Thanks,
MAK
Not a whole lot unless you want to run a new CPU and/or take advantage of whatever additional fixes GB might have made.
These boards all have problems with USB devices, stuff like external HDDs especially. Theres some changes I make with modded firmware that might help but theres not much that can be done outside of GB addressing the issue properly.
Ket,
Can you provide a modded bios from Gigashit (F42A) so I can run the 3900x in it. I can pay for your time if you send a link. The board has been really stable and I don’t care to start another install.

@ket
i now managed to find my "failure" of cold-boot-errors with RAM oc:
my Ryzen 2600X + GA-AX370-Gaming-5 does not like my Ripjaws (DDR4-3200CL14)
it does beeps and then uses default ramspeeds (2133)
so i always went into bios (at first start) and selected the higher ramspeeds (like 3400CL14) and it worked - but doesnt work when booting cold
yet it does cold boot when i use 2800CL14 - but 3466CL16 has better timings and higher speed
i use your F25 Mod
GB X370 boards did have issues with Ripjaw kits for a long time, the 2666MHz divider especially was broken for a hell of a long time the board just flat out would not POST using that divider, the boards also couldn’t use a 2T command rate - no POST there either. I’d check your memory at the speed and timings they are rated for with HCI memtest to make sure you haven’t got a faulty stick.
@racerxnet let me know what firmware you want and I’ll cook something up.
