[OFFER] Gigabyte GA-AX370-Aorus Gaming 5 BIOS mod

I don’t know what happened honestly. Started from the bottom up. Half the ram installed and running as advertised. The modded bios with 2/4 sticks of ram is doing it’s thing as he wrote the bios.
I still need to swap in the video card but it’s is working again.

Thanks @ket for the bios mod.

Sounds like a stick of memory went bad or the board has just developed a fault, DIMM sockets going bad on mainboards is very common so I’d try a single stick in the alternative DIMM sockets then try the other memory stick to rule them out. I’d wager you have either a bad memory stick or bad socket though you’ve run in to a flat out bad luck situation.

It’s back up and running better than before. The bios mod is great, sent a PM to see if there was anything more that could be done.

@hanswurst31 wrong thread fella you want this one  I’d be faster with 450/70/570 if there were more demand. I need a GB X570 board really to work out what needs doing.

@ket

would you be able to give Ryzen 5900x compatibility in X370 Gaming 5 motherboard?

EDIT: https://www.amd.com/en/products/cpu/amd-ryzen-9-5900x

i Have a gigabyte gaming 5 x370 will it be possible to support next gen ryzen 5000 and also bring support for pci 4.0. thanks

AX370 Gaming 5 + 5900X would be amazing

our VRMs are very good quality

i would also love Ryzen 5000 support for GA-AX370 Gaming 5

AMD Ryzen 5000 CPUs can supposedly run on aging A320 and X370 motherboards:

@Benman2785 , @lolailogd & @ronnyquinn this is something that might be in the works if nothing happens officially it is something we can probably do but would be highly experimental a few people would need to be willing to step up and test things.

yes that be workable the boards have a dual bios so it would lower the risk of bricking it thanks

This would be beyond great. I was thinking that a 3900X would be the eventual endgame for my X370 K7, but if we could get Zen3 chips running for it, that’d be incredible!

Thanks for all your eforts in this times to make bios beter, now starts the big war !!! Im need to improve my cpu and thinking about buy the latest compatible 3600 cpu’s with my gigabyte gaming k3,but i read the thing about compatibility with 370x,and sudenly remembered this thread i have on bookmarks about bios modifications xd.

Your are our last hope !!!
Make us able to use 5600 chips on our shity gigabyte boards xd

ASROCK SUPPORTS THE RYZEN 5000 ON ITS X370 TAICHI BOARDS
https://www.noticias3d.com/noticia.asp?idnoticia=82699

"…The ASRock X370 Taichi motherboard was a top-of-the-range model pigeonholed within the premium series. Its price was high, but with this support extended to the Ryzen 5000, all those who invested in it can be clear that they have been able to amortize the money spent more than enough, since they will be able to upgrade to four different generations of processors (Ryzen 1000, Ryzen 2000, Ryzen 3000 and Ryzen 5000).
This confirms that all motherboard manufacturers could support the Ryzen 5000 in models equipped with the X370 chipset if they wanted, although this means giving up the support of other previous generation processors, but at the moment it is not confirmed that they will follow the steps from ASRock, in fact it is unlikely that we will see extended support to the bulk of X370 boards that currently exist…"

Hello,
I have a problem with my GA-AX370-Gaming 5 Board  with Bios-Version F50e.
When i restart the pc the Bios won´t boot but when i shutdown the pc and made a cold start everything works like a charm.

My pc speks:
CPU: Ryzen 3600
GPU: RTX 2070
Ram: 16 GB G.Skill
Board: GA-AX370-Gaming 5
Storage: Kingston M2 SSD and 860 EVO (M2 is the boot partition)

What i tried:
-check RAM with different slots and run memtest (OK)
-Bios-version F50a & F42e restart works but produce many different bluescreens (every 1-2 hours)
-reinstall Windows 10 Pro 20H2
-AMD Chip-Driver updatet
-Clear BIOS

I think the BIOS F50e from Gigabyte are buggy. When i restart the PC i see the Aorous logo from the bios (Code at the Board A0) but it won´t boot and i can´t enter it.
Maybe someone can help me

Best wishes

mh, try running your ram as "auto" aka 2133MHz
dont give a manual core clock - leave that as auto

that i already tried too auto and xmp aka Profile1

XMP is OC - and gigabyte in x370 hates it xD

do a cmos - than leave everything on auto and try again

Thank you for your fast replay
i know thats a big problem with XMP
you mean a cmos reset (connect the to pins at CLR_CMOS)? that i tried too and remove the battery no change.

Hey @ket , thank you so much for this mod.

Are there any news on a Ryzen 5000 mod for this board? With prices returning to more reasonable levels now, I would like to get a new CPU and keep my board.
