I have a GA-X58A-UD5 board. Do you know if the UD9 bios will flash/work on a UD5 board?

I don’t know for sure but i don’t think so. I would not recommend it.

BIOS upgraded to v8

Changelog:

[Fixed] - Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller Series (Realtek LAN PXE ROM) v2.65 -----> Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller Series (Realtek LAN PXE + RPL ROM) v2.66

The rom module was only PXE v2.65 in the BIOS v7, now it is changed with the latest true rom that should be there with PXE + RPL v2.66.

For those who wonder how to know if your Realtek LAN rom is only PXE or is PXE + RPL, here is how to find out:

- PXE rom only: Usually the rom module is named “rtegpxe.lom” and is 56k uncompressed.

- PXE + RPL rom: Usually the rom module is named “rtegrom.lom” and is 70k uncompressed.

BIOS upgraded to v9

Changelog:

[Changed] - Intel RST RAID ROM v11.2.0.1527 with TRIM in RAID 0 support -----> Intel RST(e) RAID ROM v11.6.0.1702 with TRIM in RAID 0 support

@Phoenix48 , @Fernando :
Hello my friend! I have a question about edited BIOS microcodes.
How can I download the latest version of the microcode of cpu000106A5?
I could not find this because it does not appear in all the microcodes that come out of *.dat file in Intel’s site.
The last update date is 21-06-2013. But your BIOS file looks like 27-06-2015. How did you do it?
In short, how do I get the recent versions of microcode?

@Unique25

Some microcodes are only available by finding them and extracting them from newer BIOS version and are not available, like you said, with the regular download from the Intel website.

In this case, if i remember right, i got the latest 106A5 microcode from an updated BIOS made for an HP pc. I don’t remember which model of HP.

To get the microcode, you can simply extract it from my BIOS.

To do that, download my BIOS and MC Extractor. Unzip them. Copy the BIOS itself (x58aud9.f6) into the MC Extrator folder and drag the BIOS over MCE.exe. Press ENTER into MC Extractor untill it close itself. Then look into the “Extracted” folder. All the microcodes in the BIOS will be extracted there for you to use as you wish.

BIOS upgraded to v10

[Changed] - Both CPU microcodes for 000106A4 (for platform 01(0) and platform 02(1)) replaced by the newer microcode using platform 03 (0 + 1)

First post updated with the addition of the latest firmware flasher for the NEC/Renesas USB 3.0 chip with the latest firmware for uPD720200 and µPD720200A. Take note that this motherboard was, unless exceptions that i am not aware of, always built with uPD720200 chip.
