Is this BIOS stable on your computer? Can you update Intel’s BIOS to the latest version? (Intel RST (e) RAID ROM v13.5.0.2164 with TRIM in RAID 0 support)

What lets you think, that
a) this is the latest version and
b) it will work with an Intel X58 chipset?

a) I thought this was the last BIOS in the 13th series.
b) "This modded OROM may be usable with all DEV_2822/282a Intel RAID Controllers"

I “think” best RAID orom for X58 is 10.1.0.1008 w/ TRIM Mod, others may work but sometimes cause issues depending on system setup/config - just my two cents
If you need larger RAID Array than 2TB, then choose 10.5-10.6, newer than that introduce issues in certain situations

You may be right, but RAID orom 12.6.0.1867 is currently installed. Would like to try a newer of the 12 series or 13.

Yes, I was only talking about what’s better for all around compatibility, not what is possible to insert. BIOS in first post above has 13.2.0.2134 in it already.

I was with this version 13.2 and two big drives 2TB and 4TB with no issues. This rom is provided by German site jzelectronic.de and it’s tested for stability.

And I was because jump on AM4 and Ryzen

and sorry for late answer.

Tested this BIOS. At me it does not allow to connect CD-ROM normally. I will not say what the problem is, but I made my mod based on this.

1. Intel® RAID ROM 12.9.0.2006 (Raid0 Trim)
2. Realtek LAN ROM 2.66
3. JMicron ROM 1.08.01

@Vlad_Dracula - What cbrom did you use to insert RAID ROM? Sometimes cbrom version might cause issue, but I bet it’s either due to RAID ROm version/J.Micron issue, or wrong ports on the Intel controller as noted below

What port (number and color) do you have your CD-Rom connected to? Plug into one of the last two blue ports (From top to bottom, use last two for CD/DVD, right before white ports)
RAID Rom’s above 10.8 is known to cause issues with (Sometimes disable) J.Micron controller (white ports), one of the known issues. So if you were using the white ports it could be this.
Also, some

Not connected to the latest ports, maybe the problem was this, good idea. Drive Pioneer BDR-209DBK with latest firmware. The driver used the last of the branches 13. I believe that J. Micron does not affect the operation because it is in IDE mode. At the moment I have not changed ports, but all is working fine with firmware 12.9 and the same driver.

@Vlad_Dracula - J.Micron issue I meant was when inserting RAID Rom newer than 10.8 sometimes this causes other oroms to bug or not load (@J.Micron) First, yes please move the drive, I would not put it on the J.Micron ports anyway, unless all others are full, move it to last Intel port on bottom and see if it works properly there.

Then if you want to test and see if J.Micron port is failing due to RAID ROM 12 being inserted, put secondary spare HDD or SSD onto J.Micron port and then check and see if it shows up in windows or not, if not then issue is as I mentioned due to RAID orom 12.x
