Older Asus P6T Deluxe V2 with Asus Hype M.2 x4 Mini Card & Adata XPG SX8000

Hi Everyone,

Didn’t do my homework on backward compatibility of these PCIe SSDs … was blinded by the performance

Drive details as follows:
http://www.canadacomputers.com/product_i…&item_id=101442
http://www.canadacomputers.com/product_i…&item_id=097183

The drive appears in the BIOS as an IDE drive and my existing Windows 10 install recognizes the drive, lets me format it and I can use it as a regular drive. Drive cloning fails and a fresh Windows install also fails. Error being that the drive is not recognized as bootable.

I searched the site and noticed that some were able to make the Asus P6T work through a BIOS modification. I didn’t even realize that BIOS could be modified until I discovered this forum!

So my question is whether or not you guys think the above is resolvable. If it is, does anyone have any instructions for a newbie like me? Don’t want to “brick” my motherboard and end up with a bigger problem!

Thanks and Happy New Year to all !
