@Nyamp : Thanks for the info about the release of Intel’s new complete Ethernet Driverpack v24.1.
This driver is only usable with Win10 x64. A 32bit driver with this version doesn’t exist.
@all: For Win10 x64 users, who have an on-board Intel I217/I218/I219 Ethernet Adapter and don’t like to download the 560 MB sized complete package, I have attached the just 300 KB sized 64bit Intel Ethernet driver v12.18.9.8 WHQL for Win10 x64, which I just got perfectly installed onto my Z170 chipset system.
An issue I have noticed with the new 12.18.9.8 driver on my I219/Z170/W10-1903 system is if something like Steam/Origin/whatever is downloading something full bore I pretty much can’t get anything else on the PC to load stuff on the internet. Everything starts timing out, like webpages/Spotify/Ventrillo. I never had this issue until I updated to this new driver. I just switched back to the previous driver and the problem went away. Switched back to this new one again and the problem comes back. Easily repeatable. No connection issues on other devices on the network while the issue happens. Solely on the system with the 12.18.9.8 driver only.
I dunno. What would cause that? Anyone else notice it?
Advanced settings are all left at default settings. No Intel software installed, just Fernando’s extracted driver file.
@all: For Win10 x64 users, who have an on-board Intel I217/I218/I219 Ethernet Adapter and don’t like to download the 550 MB sized complete package, I have attached the just 300 KB sized 64bit Intel Ethernet driver v12.18.9.10 WHQL dated 07/25/2019 for Win10 x64, which I just got perfectly installed onto my Z170 chipset system.
I did the driver upgrade yesterday on my Z270 Asus Apex and just updated the driver only and it still has “RSS Load Balancing Profile” , “PTP Hardware Timestamp” and “Software Timestamp” in advanced settings.Did you install the full package software from Intel or Fernando’s 64bit Intel Ethernet driver v12.18.9.10 that has drivers only.
I installed the drivers only provided by Fernando. I’ll reinstall with the full package to test and will give a feedback
Edit: This driver installation is acting weird for me, RSS Load Balancing Profile only appear if I install the new driver then reset network settings using the Windows 10 option on Control Panel. This is not happening with the 24.1 package. What I have to do: Unninstall every network driver, install the new one using device manager, reset network settings using Windows 10 option in Control Panel, restart Windows.
I’m using Windows 10 1903 with latest update. I really don’t know what happened.
Can where help me please and say what is the last driver only for my LAN Chip to integrade with NTlite?
AFAIK the latest driver for your on-board Intel LAN i219-V Network Controller is v12.15.22.6 dated 04/05/2016, but if you want to know the exact INF file, which has to be integrated, I need the exact DeviceID of the related Network Controller.
@fotso : Welcome to the Win-RAID Forum! To be able to help you I should not only know the DeviceID of your on-board Intel Ethernet Controller, but additionally the OS you want to customize by using NTLite. You will get the DeviceID of the Controller by expanding the "Network adapters" section of the Device Manager, doing a right-click onto the listed "Intel(R) Ethernet Connection" and choosing the options "Properties" > "Details" > "Property" > "HardwareIDs". Advanced Network Services (ANS), teaming, and VLAN configuration
Currently Team and VLAN configuration are only supported using Intel® PROSet for Windows PowerShell* Software’s cmdlets. This only applies to Windows® 10. We plan to add Advanced Network Services, including Team and VLAN configuration to the Intel® PROSet Adapter Configuration Utility interface in a future release.
It’s like with the Intel ME driver packages, sometimes they update just the apps not the drivers themselves. For example in this package (not 100% sure, might have been the earlier 24.2) we got Teaming/VLANs back into the (new) UI:
@Horus : Since I do not know which specific driver variant is the appropriate one for Intel I211-AT Ethernet Controllers, I propose, that you offer the related "pure" driver files yourself.
Attached is the currently latest 64bit Intel Ethernet driver for Intel I217, I218 and I219 Ethernet Controllers. It is v12.18.9.11 WHQL dated 09/05/2019 and designed only for Win10 x64.
