Hello, I sent you a message last year, my friend @Beekeeper passed away, I recovered his laptop on which he wanted to put the Custom bios, but I think he made a mistake because the bios did not work anymore, I’m going to recommend a chip and change it, and I would like to have the original bios and the custom (the link is broken).
I will try to repair it because for the moment the laptop is usable.

Well, the user Lost_N_Bios…may also had pass away or moved on, since we dont hear from him since January 2021, his links are not recoverable.
It is dead, that’s why I ask if Lost_N_Bios does not have the backup of the original bios

I’ve managed to unlock my bios on laptop, Asus FX505GM.

There was no Bootguard or BIOS Lock on this model.
I’ve skipped the " 9. Now, lets find the short block list and it’s location." as I didn’t find any of these list of bytes.
Here’s what I’ve modified inside the Section_PE32_image_AMITSE_AMITSE.sct
(see image above)
Then Replace As Is, AMIBCP, flash, as in guide. 
Here’s a link with the DUMP, mod, and a lot of other useful information about this BIOS, outputs from FPT, HwInfo, sct files, MEAnalizer, MEInfo, etc.
Do not flash these on your laptop! If you got exactly the same BIOS, on FX505GM model, 307, you might use ONLY Section_PE32_image_AMITSE_AMITSE.sct to replace yours then open everything using AMIBCP and do as in the guide.

Sorry if posting this here is frowned upon, but I have a reddit thread about a rather difficult problem: my GPU is thermal throttling according to nvidia-smi DESPITE my temps being low…
My question: given the troubleshooting steps I’ve done and the fact this is a new issue for me, is it even remotely worth unlocking the bios to try and fix this? I’m leaning towards no, but I haven’t gotten any responses in any of my threads and would like some feedback before I attempt something risky.

A friend of mine has the unit and the screen went dead. He sent it to a repair shop where they butchered it… installed mechrevo bios, tried to change some fuses on lcd screen, they blew up backlight fuse on motherboard and did not replace it. When it came back he asked me to look at it (i was mssing image on the internal screen as before + no image on hdmi)
I swapped the lcd and replaced lcd backlide fuse and now i have image on it’s internal screen, BUT i won’t install nvidia drivers… i assume it’s related to bios as it seen as microsoft basic display adapter…
I tested the cideocard in linux with nvidia tools and memory + gpu and they pass, so there s nothing wrong with tem.

I have a CyberpowerPC branded Tongfang laptop, GM6PQ7Q, running a AMI bios N1.02. Intel ME 16.1.27.2176.
Does anybody have a method of unlocking the bios, I also feel like there has to be hidden menus behind a button combo or something. The UI for the bios is very strange.
It’s pretty locked up from the factory, can’t use XTU, No XMP settings, etc.

Hi there! I hope you are able to help me. I made a mistake and disabled my internal display thinking it would boot my nvidia graphics and then my driver menu would give me all the normal settings. Well now all I can do is connect my external monitor and it only boots to windows. No bios screen or anything. Did I just turn my laptop into a desktop? Do you have any ideas? Is there a windows bios flash for my Evoo EG-LP5-BK? I believe it uses the same motherboard as the TongFang. Can you help?

You could try the following:
You could clear CMOS by removing the cover and then disconnecting the CMOS battery.
See page 20 for the screw locations.
or
(see page 40)
Press Del when starting your laptop to enter the BIOS.
Press F3 to load the defaults and F4 to save and reboot.
Afterward, you may need to press Enter(not sure if your laptop displays a Yes/No question at the end).
