P8Z68-V LX system, NVME successful but having sleep and shutdown issues in Win10

Hi @Fernando , I noticed you also have a similar Asus motherboard. I was able to do the mod and created a UEFI boot drive out of it and did a fresh Windows 10 Pro install. All component drivers updated, did not yet install Intel specific RST, SATA, or Chipset drivers. The problem is that my system never can shutdown, it just shows a black screen, fans still running within the PC. Same thing for putting the computer to sleep, it cannot go into full sleep, just black screen (the video card sends a black screen, not a pure blank screen). Also the PC cannot wake from this pseudo-sleep state.

I think this is a Windows 10 issue with the Z68 chipset, I have the latest BIOS install (it’s from 2013) and tried disabling hibernation, fast startup, and Asus USB charging. I do not have the AI Suite installed either. Any idea what this could be? Im hoping its not the NVME drive, but reading online this seems to be a previous issue, any help is much appreciated! I may try different IMEI drivers. My hardware is as follows:

Asus P8Z68-V LX Motherboard
Intel i7-3770 Turbos overclocked to 4.1GHz on all 4 cores (PCIE 3.0 confirmed)
XFX RX 580 8GB Video Card
8GB DDR3 1866MHz (running @ 1866MHz with XMP enabled)
512GB NVME HP EX920 at PCIE 2.0 (4x enabled in BIOS)
300GB SATA II Intel SSD drive (older tech, not SATA III)
2TB Seagate 7200RPM SATA III HDD
LG SATA II DVD Drive
700w OCZ SealthXStream PSU (this PSU is about 9 years old but shows no sign of wear)
Onboard LAN and Audio
Windows 10 Pro x64 latest build installed

Thanks!

Bump* anyone? Help is much appreciated!

@atyagi6 :
Welcome to the Win-RAID Forum and sorry for the delayed reply!

Here are some questions:
1. Which NVMe, which Intel AHCI and which Intel ME driver are you using?
2. Did you already check the version and the integrity of the Intel Management Engine Firmware?
3. Which “Power Option” are you using?
4. What about the overclocking? Did you already try to use the default BIOS settings?

Regards
Dieter (alias Fernando)
