Hey guys,
first of all, sorry, but I’m not sure if this is the right section 
I have an enclosure for RAID operating two 3.5" HDDs.
It’s a WD My Book Duo (model WDBFBE0240JBK)
Two things I want to change on the PCB:
1-Turn off the restriction for HDDs
=WD has programmed the board to use WD HDDs only, but I want to use some from Toshiba
2-Turn off encryption
=WD has encryption enforced programmed in this board, but I don’t want to use it
Attached are photos of the PCB and the chip.
Chip = Winbond 25X40CLV1G (1927)
I was able to read the chip, but can’t edit the binary myself.
The bin file is attached. Please check and let me know if you can help me here…
