Was wondering if its possible to upgrade the ACPI specification of one’s motherboard? As I understand the recent specification is at Version 6.0. To do so would probably take knowledge of dsdt tables and changes to spec to be added back. As we mod most things why not the ACPI spec…

The short answer is "no", the longer: this will require a tremendous amount of work, because all ACPI-related and ACPI-using DXE driver must be updated and recompiled. The task is rather hard even for Intel and IBVs, and is nearly impossible to achieve in this century by hobbyist developers.
