[Problem] Bricked HP Omen 17-an104ng BIOS

Hello Community,

I recently tried to change the Batterie on my Omen by HP Laptop 17 an104ng and after putting in the new batterie ((Batterie Link) I know it is not offical, but it should still work  )) my Laptop wouldn’t start again. No fan noises, no keyboard LED, nothing. All it did was flash the on button in orange for around 3 seconds and then the light was off for around 3 seconds in a repeating pattern. I thought I had destroyed the motherboard so I gave the Laptop to a friend of mine who is an expert with hardware. He measured everything and all the electricity went were it should. But apperantly if you don’t have the power cable connected to the Laptop while changing the batterie, the BIOS Chip on the motherboard doesn’t recieve electricity (because it doesnt have a backup batterie like every other BIOS chip for some reason) and it breaks. So the problem is most likely a destroyed BIOS file on the chip.

So now I have tried to reflash the BIOS onto the BIOS Chip (Serial Number: AH1826 25B127DSIG U85917) using a EEPROM BIOS USB programmer CH341A (The one I bought was from AITRIP on Amazon) and the programm NeoProgrammer. I got a BIOS file from the official HP Website of my Laptop (I can only put in 2 Links so you have to google the following and use the first result: “omen by hp laptop 17 an104ng bios”). When detecting the Chip with the Clipper it said that it was a GD25Q127C with 3.3V, a size of 16777216 Bytes, A BitSize of 128Mbits and a page of 256 Bytes. So I have tried writing the BIOS file onto the BIOS chips with Off-Protect, Erase, Blank-Check,Write and Verify enabled but it didn’t work. The BIOS file I used was named 08466.bin and had a size of 16.384KB (The BIOS file i used) . So now following are my questions:

Did I use the correct BIOS file, if no where can I get the correct file?

Do I need to change something in the BIOS file to use it (like putting in the serial number or ME Firmware Cleaning)?

Did I do everything correctly in the BIOS reflashing progress using Neo Programmer?

Thank you very much for reading and I hope you have a solution on your mind, thanks

Further analysis requires original corrupted dumps before programming of all IC(s), depending on board schematic.

EDIT: We dont need original hp dumps, i mentioned ORIGINAL corrupted, before any writes to the IC, so not valid as it has no original system data…you never made any backup so its lost.

He couldnt fix it… and you’re more experienced than him and you know for sure is bios issue…

Still no power to IC with old battery assembled… why do you think the “new battery” has corrupted/destroyed the IC(s) content data. Theres several ICs on this board bios, ec, nvidia and tpm.

of course, empty system data as your “dump”…it should be edited.

Thank you for your answer. My current corrupt BIOS Dump is behind the following Link since I cant attache it directly (My Current BIOS Dump).
Also here is some more information about my Laptop which may be usefull:

Fullname and model: OMEN by HP – 17an104ng
Product number: 4BZ33EA
motherboard model: G3BEN17E DAG3BEMBCD0 Rev: D

Thank you for taking the time to respond
