Hi everyone,
I’m trying to recover my HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen9 that currently won’t POST — fans spin, power LED flashes red, and there’s no video output.
The iLO and UEFI interfaces are inaccessible, so my only option is to perform a System ROM Flash Recovery using the SW2-2 switch on the motherboard.
However, the recovery mode only accepts raw .bin or .rom BIOS files, not the newer .flash or .signed.flash firmware that HPE now distributes.
I’ve already checked the following without success:
-
SPP 2017.04.0, 2017.10.1, and newer → only contain .flash or .vmexe packages.
-
CP027910.scexe / CP027911.scexe from those SPPs → iLO4 firmware only, not System ROM.
What I need is an older System ROMPaq package for DL380 Gen9 (P89 / J06 board) that includes a file like one of these:
J06_0120.bin
J06_0210.bin
J06_0230.bin
J06_0254.bin
These came from older ROMPaqs such as:
CP019334.scexe (v1.20)
CP021658.scexe (v2.10)
CP024045.scexe (v2.30)
CP027910.scexe (v2.54)
If anyone still has one of those .bin or .rom BIOS images extracted from an old SPP (2015–2016 era), please share or point me to an archive/mirror that still hosts them.
Thanks in advance — this would really help me revive a completely bricked Gen9!
