Hi, I would like to use lower power limits on an Intel CPU. Initially, I configured these values using Intel XTU, which worked without any problems.
Later, I wanted to apply the same values using the BIOS/UEFI instead, which I tried using a normally hidden menu (I made it accessible with AMIBCP). But when I try to enter the values for “Power Limit 1” (65000) and “Power Limit 2” (81250) I encounter an error (“Invalid Input Range”). I am using this BIOS/UEFI (which is the latest version):

I also tried to change the value in AMIBCP, but there I am referred to the same given (nonsensical) value range. Just to be sure that I used the correct entries in the BIOS/UEFI, I entered the values 222000 and 155000 and after a restart I got 222 watts and 155 watts displayed in Intel XTU (which is too high, but confirms that these are the right entries).
I assume that it is a bug (which is normally not noticeable because the menu in the BIOS/UEFI is not accessible and the overwriting of PL1 and PL2 by the BIOS/UEFI is disabled). How can I work around this bug? How might I modify the BIOS/UEFI to be able to enter meaningful values?
