Hello Everyone I have an Acer Travelmate p243m laptop and a year ago I wanted uefi to work in my bios. Now there are two versions of the laptop, one is Windows 7 version and other is Windows 8 version. I have the Windows 7 version and it does not have uefi settings. Normally I would have just assumed that it does not have uefi but using various tools I found out that my processor actually support UEFI. Then I found this one exploit to install the bios of windows 8 (v2.x) by editing the platform.ini file. It worked and UEFI was flawlessly working. That is until a few days ago I encountered a white screen as soon as I turned on the laptop. It happens once in a while. My laptop has become slower too overtime and so I wanted to downgrade bios to windows 7(v1.x) version but now even after changing all the bios checks in platform.ini file I am unable to downgrade the bios due to this error(attached). How can I bypass this check?
