I have done the update for the bios, however I did get stuck in the menu, reason, I had a videocard who was set on uefi bios in stead of legacy, and I was need to use the hdm port to correct. So better is that this is standart set to legacy that makes a better start.
Oke I have still a problem that the ventilator for the cpu not work, and that is needed.
So are there updates here, because it is a older thread and motherboard, I have a other pc but not yet done set it up.

For the rest it does well, have windows 10 and works relaxed. But do need a new pc later, the way microsoft da handle is not good, special for the people who have no mony for that expensive stuff, and will make the pc world not saver, because people will go with windows 10 and leaks get bigger bad people can do mucho harm for society,s.
But other hand, we here do make it possible, goed work.
But yes I have experience with the software, I did ones remove dongles, and even everkey dongle, but rely on the lazyness of programmers, like compare something then jump good guy or bad guy.
No, we don’t have a specific extra tool, which does the required work automaticly in a 100% perfect way. It happens very often, that we don’t succeed ourselves at first try. Edit:
Meanwhile I have tried myself to open the latest officially released BIOS dated 03/21/2012, which is offered by Gigabyte for your specific mainboard. It turned out, that it is not an UEFI BIOS. This makes it impossible to use this old non-UEFI BIOS for your purpose (trying to boot off an NVMe SSD in UEFI mode). My advice: Ask the Gigabyte Support for an AMI UEFI BIOS for your specific Rev 0.1 mainboard model. Maybe they will offer you a BIOS version, where the NVMe boot support has already been integrated.

I did read some things and special software is used, I have install the U1A bios and it is from award to ami uefi? That is why I did not see at first.
The only fault I do see is the fan for the cpu, who do not work well, but if cpu got hotter the more he want to start, and stop, so something here is wrong, and that is why I want to look in the original version.
I have unpack the original bios with 7-zip and needs to open it with a tool, MMtool you guys do use after the new bios is in.
Reason I need to fix is, I simulate electronics, and that do use all cores, it does steps of 1 NanoSeconds for example to simulate a class d amp with 3 nesteds feedback paths making a 0.00023 distortion figure.
JFYI… in the past i had a very bad experience with a GA-Z68 board (not same model as here), doing an NVMe mod in the released UEFI version, the system was unpredictable instable and often regressing to B_bios for recover process, was booting correctly 2 or 3 times before…
In my opinion, on these so called “Hybrid” Award Legacy to AMI UEFI transition bioses the code doesnt like to be touched…only my PoV.
I didn’t quite understand when does your system has a “faulty” fan situation… just with the original new U1 UEFI bios version or when a mod is applied…
I had normal working fan who did turn slowly, but now it go on and off, when simulating and cpu get hotter it do have more response and switch on and off all the time.
With original it was normally and I was able to set it, but now it is not as it is grayed out.
I have unpack mine original version, it has a smartfan setting in it.
The now to uefi transferred version does quite nice, I have no momory trouble anymore, the simulation program did crash completely when make a log, from a 67gB big file made after simulation, (a lot of steps) and did make pc complete unresponsive what has to do with mapping the newer versions did.
Suprisenly after the update this pproblem is gone, strange.
And, for the people who hangs there pc after update for this board, that is because of the video card, standard the bios is set to uefi rom, I have need to set it to legacy rom, but to be able to do this, I did need to connect a tv on the hdmi and remove the radion first.
Unfortanely I do not now yet how to change that through mm tool or other tool.
Oke, is there a tool to open mine original bios, maybe extract the fan driving part and insert in the new bios?, overwriting the old one. I did see so much software out there I get lost.
And have now set U1A on it what was here on the site.
I can now start a uefi windows 11 install without issues made with GPT on rufus.
I get now a beautifull startup bios picture. but it did not work a once, first video card out set rom there to legacy, on a hdmi tv and put card back did work. So maybe mod the u1A again set the the rom on legacy before updat a bios.
So if i understood correctly the FAN worked ok with new original UEFI U1A bios version for a while and studently start to go On/Off, disregarding the absence of older Fan setting that was present in older legacy bios.
Have you checked the voltage on the fan header? Some Fans also get broken besides the header getting 3.3v, did you test any spare CPU fan? Or the EC controller/circuit has gone bad…

Since it turned out, that keesijp69’s doesn’t want to boot off an NVMe SSD, I have split >this< thread and created a new one and gave it a customized title.

Did not see that it was for the SSD. I have to use to this forum, little new and also need to tell more about me.
Busy now with a bug in ltspice simulation, it does eat so much memory whyle make a log that te pc hangs all together, or better it slow down so much the mouse pointer hangs most of the time. Happens sinds it has memory mapping.
Ohh and the fan do work, if cpu get warm it sstart at a sudden point to rotate, and go faster if cpu get warmer.
