Greetings! I bought a tablet on a bulletin board for a low price with a “simple and simple problem” - Windows stopped loading - some kind of error because the blue screen of death and the system needs to be reinstalled. Before that, I looked through the forms and I was partially aware of such a problem - but I did not think that everything was so serious. Because the main PC that I use for my own experiments runs on an outdated “classic” bios. And if there is any problem, removing the battery solves the problem. Of course - not everything is simple there either - because it is also difficult - and there is a problem - I don’t know the reason - but I know at least how to get around it. But this is a separate topic.
And this tablet already has UEFI and resetting the settings is a very difficult task - especially if you are not a UEFI developer. So after I saw that this problem was more serious than I expected - I bought a CH341 programmer to dump and make changes to the NVRAM. The UEFI firmware for my tablet was developed by InsideH2O, so I tried the InsideH2OEZE utility - selecting the default settings there and changing the “USB OTG Support” value to “PCI Mode” instead of “Disabled”. But with this modification, the tablet does not start. I also contacted another person - a developer of add-ons for UEFI - they changed the value to INVALID in the Setup variable - but this did not solve the problem.
The distributor of the tablet is no longer in this business and accordingly did not provide me with a UEFI firmware file - therefore, contacting them did not yield results.
It`s dump uefi: 8 MB file on MEGA
