hello, i have asus tuf gaming f 15 FX506HE laptop.
it had bios versions 313 which was probably unofficial (have no idea where it came from)
im running windows 10. the problem is overheating as the fans only reaches 3000rpm (bios version 313)
so i downgraded to bios version 311 which gave me more rpm (up to 4000) but still its not what i expect
i know that it supposed to cool the cpu well (which are 11th gen i7-11800H @ 2.30GHz)
ive heard that there were complains about newer bios versions and overheating. maybe someone has 309 bios version as it was the most stable?
or maybe already someone solved the issue? please advice. cpus are reaching 95+ degress celsius on high loads, but the
cooler fans are not cooling as expected (~4000rpm), they are working fine (when entering the bios they reach up to 5000 rpm).
thermal paste was changed. laptop is in a descent condition.

I only see versions 300 302 306 311, the 313 should be from Lenovo published version on WUS.
The 309 seems to be for FX506xx but not to the HE
And most likely it wont let you downgrade by “regular” methods.
An SPI programmer can be thelast resource.
it alowed me to downgrade to 311, then to 310 and even to 306 ( but 306 wasnt able to boot windows 10 couse it had no vmd function to turn off in bios). now its 310, i have 4000~ rpm fan. but still looking for better solution
I am pretty sure Asus does this to prolong the life span of the fan bearings, as the fans spin over time their breaings simply get… “used up” and they wont be able to sping properly anymore, the faster the fans spin the faster the fans bearing get screwed up. I recommend you repaste your laptop with some PTM7950 and consider buying a laptop cooling pad with foam sealers like LLANO or IETS, I dont think simply using a older bios version will fix this…
