Hi. I have a G713RW ASUS computer. The bios was working on it and I was attempting to flash the computer. When flashing, my laptop switched off and I switched it back on and when switching it back on no boot. Rgb and fans spin just no boot. There are 2 chips on the motherboard which are the Winbond 74m25jweiq and the other is a small chip found on the back which is a Winbond 25Q16JWNIQ. Now when I open AS programmer and plug the SOIC from the ch341a connector onto the 74 series chip it does not read. I attempted it on neo programmer and same story. Now the 25 series does work but it’s only 2mb in size and my bios file from the Asus website is 33mb. The winbond 74series chip is a 33mb chip so that should contain the bios. I also don’t have a backup bin file from the bios chip. Pls can someone help me flash the bios. Pls can somone one help asap.If you require any information pls ask.
Captures screens not correctly linked/shared, edit it.
Corrupted data on ICs should be dumped anyway (usually original mb data still readable), the 2Mb should be RTX vbios.
You used the correct voltage adaptor for the W74?
1.8v adapter. I used the multimeter and everything is correct. I just can’t get it to read. I was reading online and I was wondering maybe h need to manually select the ic but I don’t really know which ic to select. Btw the video is helpful but I don’t have a revulprogis and is way too expensive. Any other solutions
Sorry I can’t post the photos as it is saying new users can only post one embedded photo. I’ll try tomorrow again to post the photo but can you help me. I have tried everythin
Also I noticed on my gpu vbios, I attempt to read it and it works but when I open it on hxd editor the first half is wittten and the second half has 000000 right to the end. Anyway to solve this issue or when I am sorting out the winbond 74series chip and flashing it, it will flash that one time
