I have a couple of errors I’ve found using sfc /scannow ( http://gyazo.com/f4b8acfc139ddfe3e14b15f689cc9c6a )! I first have ran the MalwareBytes to be certain of any malware or infected files & then I started the SFCFix.exe tool in an attempt to repair the Windows registry ( http://gyazo.com/346bc3df3e39b217e10f3579297cb304 ) ( http://gyazo.com/6f0d21c0c22c02fb2bd1b6a45abf0b95 ) ( http://gyazo.com/b6f06792c3cef0d73c8cf8e8ef79dbb3 ) I then installed the Windows 8.1 CD as instructed, ( http://gyazo.com/3573708d497ad127ccbf2a1cf377996c ). After running for a few minuets I got this message ( http://gyazo.com/287cde7e98791bc699365ebde98846a9 ) so I let it complete the repair process. After 10 minutes or so I received the following message ( http://gyazo.com/7e254dd8642d74e987fb16786ae4cd38 ). Now on to the ? QUESTION ? at hand, After running thru this process it had come to mind that one can run an ADMINISTRATIVE command Prompt chdsk /f , chdsk /f defined is Check Disk FIX ( ON A HDD / HARD DRIVE ) but I have two OCZ Vertex 4 SSD’s set in a RAID0 & my ? QUESTION ? is very simple yet I cannot find any answers, CAN I RUN chdsk /f ON SSD’s regardless if set in RAID or is this NOT RECOMMENDED? I’m terribly sorry if I have posted this question in the wrong area!
Thank You, GUNNY1966
p.s. Yes I did get the repair completed!
So you obviously answered your question yourself.
Off topic:
Please shorten your signature. It takes too much space. 3 lines are enough for the most important informations (Mainboard, Chipset, SATA mode, OS).
chkdsk only checks and repairs the file system (FAT12/16/32, NTFS, exFAT).
It marks bad blocks, so no data gets written there and trys to recover corrupted files.
The used storage media does not matter in any case.
