When an MEI firmware is updated. Does it update in the processor or on the motherboard it’s self? My friend did an MEI update not meant for his motherboard or processor and now his PC will not boot up. He wishes to know if he must replace the motherboard or if his processor is dead. Any help or answers anyone has would be appreciated.
The Engine firmware is found at the SPI chip of the motherboard. Give more details, what motherboard, what did he flash and with what tool?
