Real-ucode: All the microcodes, but packaged!

Happy Friday!

I’ve been packaging @plutomaniac’s excellent repo on and off for a few years to make it easy to use on Fedora.
The repo is here: GitHub - divestedcg/real-ucode: All the microcodes, but packaged!
Steps to assemble it yourself or links to my Fedora RPM repository are in the README.

My primary motivation is that AMD appears to have stopped directly providing microcode for consumer platforms as a form of market segmentation and I’m not going to wait for neglectful vendors to push EFI updates.

Also a thanks to @chinobino and @westlake as well!

Thank you for the community work, of course, but I think the most important thing in the long run is to collect all the available microcode. I have been doing this for some time. I only need 39 Intel microcodes for the 3000. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

@SkewedZeppelin Hi and welcome to the Win-RAID forum.

I appreciate your efforts for the community and thanks for sharing your repo :+1:

It’s hard to believe that some CPU microcode are still slipping through the cracks and not being updated in some cases in 2024.
